Closer to game time. Glad this media day hullabaloo is over. Last year I was convinced the Seahawks would win by a decent margin, but this year it's a lot harder to handicap, which leads me to thinking the game should be really close.

I'm intrigued to see what Seattle does against Gronk. And I think the Pats style of offense is a great way to beat Seattle if the execution is done properly, which I don't see why it won't -- Short, quick passes and take some chances down the field with Gronk. Tight man coverage I wouldn't even test Sherman at this point on the outside. Gronk will need to be huge because it's hard to see NE being to go down the field much, if at all, otherwise.

i'm wondering how SEA will cover Gronk. and i'm sure we'll move him around to get him in the right matchups. going to be interesting to see.

josh mcdaniels needs to call the game of his life. can't be predictable and needs to stay balanced.

I expect it to be KJ or Irvin on him with Kam or Earl over the top ( I dont expect much one on one)

Bill Barnwell has a good read on each team's losses and if Seattle/New England can duplicate what happen in those losses to get victory

The San Diego/Seattle to me is how I feel Pats can win. (he pointed this out to be the most replicated possibility)

Dolphins game and the Chiefs game were two he felt Seattle could replicate

that was a good read.

hoping that we don't revert back to what killed us against KC and MIA. poor OL play and overall **** execution.

i think defensively, we'll play a similar style to how we did against GB. offensively, the SD plan versus SEA could work, but we need to come out guns blazing. cannot start this game slow. need to punch y'all in the mouth right from the get go and get you back on your heels a bit. spread it out, let brady see the field, and pass and run of out shotgun. not the entire game obviously. mix it up. but bedard favors running mostly out of heavy sets...i'm not sure i agree. he's obviously more of an expert tho

How is your OL situation? Been reading the Stork kid is pretty important if he's out there

our OL has been at its best this year when it looks like: Solder-Connolly-Stork-Wendell-Vollmer. this is what we had for the bulk our 7 game win streak mid year

based on all reports, he's been out there and practicing. i'm guessing he'll be questionable but will give it a go.

good article by Bedard . im really interested to see how our offense matches up against their defense . the game two years ago isnt as valuable to watch w how personel has changed , but its interesting to see how we moved the ball the first half against them

i just watched the whole game back -- Brady played a pretty poor 2nd half . he had two intentional grounding penatlies , including one at the very end of the 1st half that didnt allow the team to kick a 15 yd field goal . two poor interceptions , and a ton of bad throws

defensively , the team actually did a good job of minimizing Lynch and keeping Russell in the pocket . there were a few times where we tried to run a stunt w a defensive end ; BAD idea . Russell on one of them easily escaped the pocket and hit one of the WR with a 30+ yard bomb . the main story of the game was the defensive secondary getting SMOKED on the long ball . Wilson had 4 - 5 35+ yard bombs that gave them amazing field position or TDs that i simply cannot see this current defense giving up

from a defensive stand point , i feel very confident in us being able to limit what Seattle can do

Pacific, i think it would be good to test sherm on the outside given the recent tweak to his elbow in the NFCCG

ALSo, i agree w nBedard on running out of heavy sets w. Gronk and ho-ho or amendola out there PLUS blount! Maja beef and then rhat could set up play action out of similar sets!

Win or lose i am READY!!!!!!!!!!

And yah if gronk gets a TD he sefinitely needs to check the ball for air! Good one, whoever mentioned that

I'd love to see the prop bets on Tim Wright, haven't seen dude on the field yet in the playoffs other than once to celebrate in the endzone with Gronk

Sources: the NFL is searching for a person of interest who dressed like a referee and didn't write down the measurements of 12 footballs.

We spent 3 days talking about a ball boy taking a piss. Meanwhile Walt Anderson was approving footballs with his gut feelings. What a farce.
— Bill Simmons (@BillSimmons) January 30, 2015

So the NFL mangled the pregame football inspection, but we didn't find this out for 12 solid days. Stay classy, NFL. http://t.co/7jqOcZbfhI

I cant sleep fellas. I have more on my mind than this game hut i know one of the main reasons is due to my lifestyle/dietary habits i dint need as much but
Still 3 hours? Lol so i wrote this to clear some tjoughts

No slumber for a number of fine reasons
Here again at the big dance will the girl deny me?
Crushing hopes crushing dreams crushing hearts crushings things
Thousands of pieces the leaves have not yet arrived
But weve seen them before, flowers blossom
So we know its all very possible.
Will the sun be thwarted cold hearted seeming devil started. -

If so, its merely the other sides turn
If not, things can still get even better
No time for us not to learn.

Fact of the matter is, this is one of the biggest games in boston sports history and that was BEFORE this football-deflating controversy and etc. So, with that in mind, if you don't also root for the BOSTON Red Sox, the BOSTON Celtics, AND the BOSTON Bruins, you really have no business enjoying this game as a supporter of OUR NEW ENGLAND Patriots. Point blank period. End of story.

Moreover, i need not another boston sports championship. This is it. Then, i can be done w it all in glorious finality. One more for vince one more for bill and last but certainly
Not least, one more for tom.

Just get ova this hump and we can make 10 more SB appearances and lose and ill be perfectly fine w. that.....and i mean it all from the smallest crevice of my heart to the largest coil of my brain....,but, shoot!!!!

Its still just a game.....,,
