***OFFICIAL NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS SEASON THREAD*** (13-4) - Patriots @ Broncos - Sun 3:05PM EST - Bra

All against one of the greatest defenses of all time . Supposedly

Hung 28 on them boys :pimp:

:D

Who's the main competition in the AFC next year ?

Baltimore, Indy, and Denver would be my first thoughts

Honestly though, next years schedule is looking mighty reasonable

Jacksonville, Washington, Tennessee, Houston , etc .

:nerd:

i expect miami to be better next year.

definitely indy and denver. baltimore i think will sneak in again. pittsburgh should improve a bit.

Yeah, being matched up with the AFC South and NFC East should bode well for NE; at least looking at it this far away

I would say your list of main competitors is on point.

Baltimore plays NE so well every year; Luck will have another year to grow and we'll have to see what they do to shore up their defense and see what they surround him with on offense; if Peyton comes back, I fully expect Denver to have some type of chip on their shoulder, but whether or not that means they will be any better is something we'll have to see play out.

One of my main concerns is just making sure this defense stays intact; i.e. Revis, McCourty, seeing what happens with Mayo, what happens with Wilfork, will Hightower be 100% to start the season after surgery, do they keep Branch, Ayers, Casillas and Siliga for depth and does the depth at cornerback need to be addressed at all.

The biggest threats in the AFC to me would be those 2 AFC North squads with Super Bowl winning QB's.

The Ravens are always gonna be their pesky selves and find their way into the playoffs as long as harbaugh is coaching and they're honestly true rivals in terms competition wise, they just know how to counteract BB's gameplans and play Brady better than anyone not coached by Rex Ryan(figures that he started off in Baltimore )

Pittsburgh's offense is already deadly and they have some young pieces on the defensive side of the ball. If they keep adding to it and eventually get back to that old school steel curtain type of D that they're synonymous with, they'll be a force to be reckoned with imo. It's gonna be tough for them to get over the loss of Lebeau though.

Aside from those 2 I guess you could stick in Denver since they still are an immensely talented team but Peyton's still not getting younger and they'll most likely lose a few key pieces on offense during the offseason so I don't expect them to be as good as they have been over the last 2 years but they should be good enough to make the playoffs.

Now a dark horse would be Indy if they can finally get Luck a solid running game and a lot of help on D. They won't be winning the conference as long as it's strictly the Luck show there.

In the division, the Bills are gonna be the toughest challengers by far if they can get some more help on offense and an actual QB.

*Here's this weeks SI cover btw :smokin

amazing , amazing feeling

peep my IG from right after the Pats won . being out there in the PHX area for the game was amazing . the Seahawks fans outnumbered us , but there was a strong Patriots contingent down there . i was sitting at the bar and all i remember doing after the Butler interception was jumping up on top of the bar like a ****** Coyote Ugly chick and jumping up and down

I still have no words after that game sunday

I had to stay away from this thread for quite some time and not post just because I didn't want to "jinx" anything after the KC game

First time since 97 I didn't engage in baiting from friends/family about this team after the KC game...at least not much fighting/defending as they are used to from me

Enough of that, I will post more of my thoughts later on

For now, click the video, set to HD, set to full screen and enjoy

Just realized that Stork was the starting center on FSU's National title squad last year and in his rookie year he was the starting center of the Super Bowl Champs this year! :wow:. What a year for this dude, basically winning everything in football after just his first season :x :smokin

It aired last night on inside the NFL so it should be posted on NFL.com soon enough, those little snippets I've seen look amazing. From Brady's pregame speech to Jules saying that he loves getting hit after getting rocked by Bam Bam Kam and also the reactions to the pick :pimp:
