***OFFICIAL NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS SEASON THREAD*** (13-4) - Patriots @ Broncos - Sun 3:05PM EST - Bra

Damn it's been real big Vince :frown:. Gonna really miss having one of the last remaining OG from the '04 title squad gone. Now Tom would be the last one left.

Hope he doesn't end up somewhere like Denver :x

I'm expecting Mayo to be the next cap casualty should he refuse to restructure.

Man if this doesn't help resign Revis/D-Mac...

Good Riddance :smokin

Nah but on the real it sucks to see big Vince go, he came back strong after the ACL

I knew he was either getting restructured or getting cut tho once I started looking at the numbers towards the end of the regular season.

Gonna be a huge void left in the locker room :\

His goodbye letter to Pats fans

He'll always be a legend in my eyes

.

Word through the grapevine is that Vereen is actually asking for 3.5M/season and not 5. Some sources are saying that it's still too much for the Pats

Sad to see Wilfork go

always loved him and his mentality

Haven't posted in here in a minute, did manage to scoop a Away Edelman SB 48 jersey

last month

Interested to see what Bill goes for in the draft

Hope to see him again down the road and we probably will but man it does suck :frown:.

On the bright side,I kept reading over the last few days about how the team could've kept Revis without making any big moves but now with all the space freed up from Vinces release, they have more than enough for both Revis and D-Mac.

Also, this kind of makes them almost HAVE to sign D-Mac now no? If not we'll be down 2 defensive captains from a SB winning team...

big vince :frown:

thanks for the last decade or so, man :pimp:

my favorite vince moment was when he picked off derek carr this past year to seal the raider game win, and he straight belly flopped with the ball once he secured it

Awesome play

The writing was on the wall for Vince...

At least he was sent out with a 2nd SB ring. Thank God they decided to make it work for 1 more season after a near-debacle. Legend.

Just thought about how Logan Mankins was drafted in '05 after the Pats won a SB...18-1 in '07...played in '11 w/ a torn ACL for damn near the entire season + SB run...and was traded days before this past regular season. It's almost cruel how ol' boy just managed to miss out on a ring in multiple ways.

I hope the Revis business doesn't get dragged out too far. The longer he's out there, the more it negatively affects all other roster moves.

I think Wilfork could be back depending on how the market shakes out for him. The $4 mil bonus and $8.9 mil cap hit was definitely too rich but if the numbers are right I think he could be back.

I don't really like going off of "sources" but they're saying we're not close as far as the Revis talks

If somebody blows it out the park $10 mil a year for Dmac he's as good as gone

if we lose Dmac AND Revis tho

i dont see Wilfork coming back . its time for him and the organization to move on

him going points more to the organization freeing up money to resign Revis and McCourty

I'm still confident in Revis coming back but I lose confidence in D-Mac coming back each day as news of more potential suitors comes out. So far I've heard that the Giants,Eagles,Jags and Titans are all interested in him and I'm hearing talk of offers hovering around the $10m annually mark...:\

I'd love to get more news on the key player front instead of finding out that we resigned Tyler Ott  :rolleyes

What do y'all think of Hartline? I had heard Amendola could be a cap casualty and I guess Hartline might be in line to replace him maybe?

I wouldn't mind the pick up since he'd come here cheaper to play with Brady.

Yea I'm not the biggest fan of that potential move,he'd be cheap but he lacks explosiveness and he didn't have the most impressive season.. For a cheap 'Dola alternative,I'd prefer the team pick up someone like Eddie Royal/Harry Douglas or even Stevie Johnson.

You never know though,Hartline could become Wes 3.0 but I don't expect it.

I know it's never gonna happen but I'd be interested in B-Marsh and Andre if I was the team, probably a good thing I''m not running the team though

Yeah, I see your points on Hartline and agree. I'd rather keep Dola if at all possible. Andre Johnson though :pimp:

I'd prefer if he resigned as well to keep the team chemistry intact and he really showed his value down the stretch last year but I'm not too sure if he'll accept a restructure. Hopefully,he does.

Giving Tom a target like Andre for a season or 2 would be music to my ears

other AFC East teams making offensive skill position moves mean squat until the other teams get a solid QB . absolutely nothing . the Jets could get Calvin Johnson and it wouldn't change anything

100%, man

also, they need to figure out a way to stop Gronk. until they do that, the division is still ours

all that said, we need to make sure Revis is rocking patriot blue next season :nerd:
