***OFFICIAL NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS SEASON THREAD*** (13-4) - Patriots @ Broncos - Sun 3:05PM EST - Bra

@WillBrinson: Per source Patriots have picked up 5th year option on Chandler Jones (Dont'a Hightower too).

:pimp: :pimp:

As much as I'd like them to stay in the 1st round,I expect them to trade down and stockpile picks as always

im guessing they've got one or two guys targeted. if they're gone or think they can get them a little ways back, they'll move for sure. we know they won't go BPA at that spot

great value @ 32, no doubt there. real big boy that hopefully can step in and fill big vince's shoes. DT was definitely a need so i don't mind the pick. i would have been totally cool with CB (although not with who was left) and OG as well.

as far as brown...big guy that's really athletic and versatile. we'll slide him around a bit inside with easley. will be fun to see him and easley play together on that line.

reading that we're transitioning to a 4-3 this year (although we know Bill is gonna throw all sorts of sub packages out there) so the Brown pick makes a lot of sense. i like it more and more as i read about some of the logic behind it.

Thoughts on Malcom Brown? Seems like someone that could fill the Wilfork void maybe?
Exactly what I was thinking and the DLine is shaping up nicely with Easley coming back next year as well

. Ièm happy t5hey stayed put and improved at a position of need. Now I hope they can find good value in the next 2 rounds. I'd be thrilled to see them pick a CB,WR and a guard.

Love the Brown pick. From what I've been reading dude seems pretty mature ala Wilfork, married w/2 kids at 20.

It's kinda funny we drafted Easley and Brown in back to back 1st rounds, 2 dudes who both said they would rather watch cartoons than football. I know **** like that drives some NFL people crazy

I was looking at the front 7 and was thinking at how good that defense could be again.

Then I saw the corners :frown:

 yup

we need some help on the back end for sure. not sure if we'll get any from this draft tho :nerd:

if dorial beckham-green is on the board when our next pick comes up, do we take a shot? what do y'all think? talented kid with off the field drama. def high risk

Yea most of the top notch corner prospects are off the board. I wouldnt mind seeing them take a shot at Eric Rowe or Jaelen Collins but I'll doubt they'll still be on the board by the end of the 2nd round.

Personally I'd take a shot at DGB,he'd be low risk high reward pick and I'm seeing the weapons that some of the other teams in the division have gotten and I'm thinking were gonna have to put up a good amount of points on the board this season especially with the secondary being the way is  :x :smh:.

Just imagine a legit deep threat like DGB on this offense :x :x :x

*liking this dude already :pimp: View media item 1515515

I agree on DGB. You have a veteran WR core of LaFell, Jules and Dola to show him the ropes and Brady will be throwing to him. Jules and Dola have both stated that they've stayed with this team and took less money because Brady is their QB. Maybe being in this type of environment will be a good start for him and a turning point to be set straight to flourish in the final Brady years.

:pimp:

Exactly, he'd be in a strong locker room that would hopefully temper down whatever off the field "issues" he has. I really want to see them get another receiver in this deep class. Sucks to admit but 'Dola, Jojo and Jules aren't getting any younger.

Bringing in a young receiver would be great at this point based on what they have already and the timeline for development.

Anyone going to try to make it out to any games this season?

I was trying to hit up the October 11th game @ Dallas but I have a client that wants to book me for a wedding that day :\

I'm debating on whether or not I should just turn it down and do the game instead

Yeah man; I saw upper level prices were right around $200-$300 :x

My cousin is looking at doing an all inclusive bus trip up there; you get round trip travel up to the game, hotel stay, tickets and tailgating for $350 I think.

Is that bluray available at places like Best Buy etc ? Or is it an online/phone order type jawn?

Copping after work :smokin
