***OFFICIAL NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS SEASON THREAD*** (13-4) - Patriots @ Broncos - Sun 3:05PM EST - Bra

this report sucks and was slanted to keep the heat off the NFL/Colts for reaching in the first place......Colts are some suckers for "exposing" what is rampant league wide. Same goes for the Jets when they "exposed" the patriots because everybody did it but the patriots filmed from an illegal spot

The Colts have always been on some sucker **** from the days they used to ***** and complain to the league about the abuse their receivers would get from our db's till now:lol:. Polian or Grigson,it doesn't matter, all suckers . The Jets gon Jet . There's all this fuss over this yet Blount/Gray is still gonna rush for 150+ and 3tds against them next season

"So what there's controversy attached to all our accomplishments, it's not because the team is cheating time and time again it's because everybody's just hating" :rolleyes

When you're being made the scapegoat for what is always later revealed to be quite common practices league wide yeah it smells weird but I won't stop you, continue with your witch hunt

It's difficult to engage in a legitimate conversation about this, but:

1. Was the tuck rule really something that you can put on Brady and Patriots? Isn't that something that people need to blame the league about? It's not like Brady and BB made the call on the field. They still had to play out the rest of that game and go on to play the Super Bowl. I'm not sure how that Super Bowl is tainted by anything they did.

2. With the recording of signals, wasn't that something that many teams and coaches all admitted to doing? (No, it's not right if everyone does it, but you can't ignore the fact that a team is only doing what is common throughout the entire league.) In response to a question about this during the recent events that have transpired, BB responded by saying that they were recording, in plain sight in front of a stadium full of people, signals being used by a coordinator that everyone could clearly see themselves; what exactly were they trying to hide? And weren't the Patriots punished for continuing to do this only after the NFL requested that ALL teams stop doing this?

3. With the deflation of footballs, why aren't people demanding more out of the league instead of just posting * everywhere? I don't see how this report is conclusive and if anything, it raises more questions about the integrity of the NFL itself. Also, I don't see how you can put a * next to this Super Bowl when they beat Seattle in conditions monitored and approved by the NFL.

4. After it was discovered that Atlanta was using artificial noise in their stadium and Cleveland was engaging in illegal text messaging, is it really that far-fetched to think that the league isn't as clean as we think it is? And if that's the case, why is there such an agenda against New England?

it's simple. a BUNCH of teams have been nailed for various types of "cheating" over the past 15 years. no one cares about any of it because those teams haven't really had much success. when a team like NE has success for such a long period of time, people get sick of you. it happens in any sport (see the yankees). so they look for any straw to grab that can discredit the team. simple.

jerry rice admits to cheating. no one cares cause the niners are irrelevant now. colts pumped in crowd noise. denver had controversial contracts or roster situations. browns texting from the sideline. and so on and so on. no one cares about that stuff.

NFL teams have doing shady stuff for decades,it's just breaking news when the Pats do it. Wasn't Ray Lewis caught using "deer antler spray"during that SB season? It never even got brought up when he was crying about deflategate . It's not just some persecution complex from us fans,it seriously feels like most of the teams in the league don't bat two eyelashes for most violations except for when the Pats are involved.

^ bingo. COUNTLESS instances of other teams breaking rules. all that stuff doesn't count tho

I can't even listen to local sports radio here. People are calling in saying that Brady and BB should be suspended from the NFL permanently, with every win and Super Bowl vacated

have to be honest -- hearing more about what the report has i personally have no doubt that they cheated and Brady knew about it . the interviews and text messages from the ball boys is BAD

^ i said it before in the NFL thread, but i have no doubt they were up to something. but it's not from reading this report. this report really doesn't tell me anything concrete. i think it was pretty clear prior to the report that we were adjusting PSI downward (how far down, still waiting for that information). if this report and it's findings were presented in a court, they wouldn't amount to **** in terms of hard evidence.

again, i think it's clear we ****** with the balls. but i learned nothing of significance from that report.

one of the texts says something like, "the refs stuck us with balls at 16 PSI". assuming we lowered the PSI, what did we lower it to? 12 PSI? less than 12? there's no ******* facts in that report.

Problem for the Pats is now its not about what occurred but more the lying and/or covering stuff up. I still don't see a suspension though

Let's not forget the report from the colts game that said those balls in the 1st half were barely under the limit. This whole **** a reach that gives Brady haters something to talk about. Every former football player has no issue with it but sees it from a fan/hater perspective. Well the scorned players are using it as a way to hate on Brady :smh:
