im out here for work for two weeks . thankfully we have a bye this week and i figured out how to get nfl rewind to work outside of the US :smokin

not going to be much news over the next several days -- Bill gave the boys Wed through Sunday off

the bye week always sucks. we got a good look at a tough carolina team yesterday though. they're going to have all the confidence in the world a week from tonight when he head down there to face them. hopefully it's a good week of practice and we show up ready.

expect to have vareen back which makes us much more dynamic on third down, an area we're dying to get all the help we can get.

have yall heard this story about Gronk being racially insensitive to an Asian fan ? said he heard he can only cook fried rice and called him Leslie Chow

think it'll blow over given Gronks persona of being a goofball , but still dumb and something the Pats dont need right now

yep, heard there is a video floating around. its Gronk being Gronk, def not condoning his actions if the reports are true. On the bright side, if this is the worst thing that came out of the bye week, i'll take it!

Anyone else overly confident about this game. Patriots love being seen as the underdog, you know Brady at least loves the challenge of going out there on the big stage of MNF and going to work. Think our D will be able to apply some pressure and force Newton's hand. We need to continue our streak of consecutive games forcing a turnover. Vereen coming back is such a relief to me. Another versatile player we can use on the field, especially against this Carolina D.
 
im feeling very good about this game as well . people have been seeing what the Panthers have done to teams over the past few weeks and the niners and over-reacting IMO

with the offense starting to click more (Dobson improving at a tremendous rate, Gronk and Amendola playing in consecutive games together, and Vareen returning) and us having an extra week to game plan im confident we'll be able to move the ball on them

also hoping Talib is back from injury , which will help tremendously in coverage
 
i like the optimism, fellas. and i'll be honest...i feel pretty good as well. people keep saying it was just the steelers...but it was 55 points. record high for the year (did i hear that right?). you can't help but be excited with the team getting healthier each week. add vareen into the mix now and hopefully a healthy talib...how can you not be confident. we've had a couple weeks to prep for carolina's defense and for cam....we will be ready.

shane vareen if healthy is huge for the offense , once aaron dobson and tom brady become more consistent

this offense will be rolling , no team should want to play a healthy patriots team in foxboro...but ultimately i think talib aqib

is probably the biggest non tom brady factor going forward with the season

Gregory missed practice again today (lone absence)

Talib talked to the media for the first time since his injury , saying he is "day to day" and seemed to be in high spirits

has vereen even been activated yet? i know he was cleared to resume practice, but who did we drop if vereen was actually activated and set to play monday?
 
we released LaQuan WIlliams ; not sure Vareen has been activated just yet . as far as i know the Pats have until Saturday to activate him
