***OFFICIAL NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS SEASON THREAD*** (13-4) - Patriots @ Broncos - Sun 3:05PM EST - Bra

interesting with Dobson. guess he got hurt early last week? i don't recall seeing him on the field after warm ups at all...so wondering how many snaps he even got last week. hopefully it's nothing serious because we will need him in december and the playoffs.

dennard back would be a big boost, but ryan and arrington have done well in his absence. i'm with you on gregory. let him rest. i'm not a big gregory fan to begin with.

Dobson played in the Denver game, but was hurt i believe possiblly in the second half...i can almost remember seeing him pull him before leaving the field in the third...will have to review

This Texans game is definitely ono of those trap game feelings...Pats O i think should be able to march up and down the field, but that JJ Watt factor still bugs me despite the addtional game planning/drills based on his game play

like any other game, if the D line can get to Keenam (sp?) quickly then i dont see there being a lot of success from the Texans O

watching back some older games from 2011 . i know its a bit too early to start talking about draft picks , but i want Mike Evans from Texas A&M . his height , athletic ability and strength would help this offense tremendously . in a lot of ways he has the same qualities as Hernandez

As an owner of Brady in fantasy football I hope it does happen. He's probably gonna run a pretty slow 40 time so maybe that'll drop him a lil. It's damn sure obvious they need another big target to throw to other than Gronk.

Dobson is officially out on sunday with sprained foot according to Christ Wesseling of nfl.com

KT will be taking his place similar to how the played the second half of the the Denver game. Dobson's 35 receptions are second only to Julian Edelman's 61 on the Patriots this season. Thompkins isn't far behind, however, at 31.

Doubt NE takes a wr in the 1st round....chad Jackson is the highest drafted wr for them in recent memory and dude never saw the field

agreed -- Pats wouldnt take a WR in the first round . either going to be an OL or defensive player .

the team has been successful with 2+ round RBs, WRs and TEs long enough for them to feel like they dont need to waste that pick

stevan ridley is inactive as a healthy scratch for todays game . yikes

:wow:

wow. i've been beyond pissed with him this year, but i'm not sure i like that move. need to keep him going and keep feeding him in hopes of getting that confidence back.

but this is classic parcells/belichick...break em down and build em back up. hopefully it works.

we all called that one...one sided matchup on paper that had trap game written all over it. defense was just atrocious but they came through in the fourth quarter on the texans' final two drives. made the stops and got the **** up off the field.

brady and co in the 2nd half :pimp:

yep , no surprise to us this was closer than it shouldve been

our offense needs to start showing up at the BEGINNING of games and not after half time . i dont really get what McDaniels and co are doing ... its clear when we run the fast paced , pass heavy offense when were behind we shred defenses . im tired of these 2nd down no gain runs that put us in 3rd and longs early on in the game

two fav players on the team are Edelman and Develin . dude doesnt get enough credit for what he does . pay attention the rest of the season to runs where hes in at full back . hes a difference maker , esp on the goal line

cant wait to get a healthy gregory and dennard back . our run defense has been laughable the past two games

+1 THIS!!!

no clue what they're doing on those runs...especially with Ridley sitting. awful play calls...especially when we're chasing points. brady needs to just say "**** it" and audible out of those. those runs were driving me nuts today.

in foxborough im not scared . im sure belichick will have blitzes dialed up to bother Weeden and Talib will limit Gordon's productivitiy

thing is Campbell is coming of the concussion so i'm thinking that threat to run or take any hits so soon might play on his mind

wouldnt mind seeing Patricia just be aggresive and test Campbell early

wouldnt mind seeing Tom, Minitron and THE Gronk et al get the O going early too

this is key. you turn it into a track meet from the get go and force teams to go one dimensional, it's a wrap. easy W. we need to get that aspect of our game going so we have a chance to replicate during the playoffs.

bang on what i was thinking since The Gronk came back...i've been waiting to see what the Pats can force their opponents to do if we can get out in front from the get go...we have a opportunistic D and would love to see if we are ahead what kind of pressure we can cause

agree with both of yall

i said it right after the texans game -- we came out trying to run too much IMO . its hard to talk about play calling bc we dont have nearly as much info as those guys do , but we kept getting stuck in 3rd and long because if little to no gain runs on 2nd down . in both the Broncos and Texans game , we came out in the 2nd half throwing all over the field and getting quick TDs . i dont understand why we dont come out the gate with this strategy , and then run the ball once we have a solid lead . this makes the most sense to me , esp with all the issues and concerns weve had with our RBs being able to hold onto the ball

lets see what game plan the fellas come out with this week ...

yeah it's weird. that used to be how we did it...air it out and build a lead, then let the RBs go to work. it's almost like because that strategy has failed in the playoffs in the last few years, they're trying to go WAY out of their way to be a balanced offense from the get go. like you said prez, they have the data and the scouting, so maybe they know best.

antonio smith backtracking on his cheating allegations...putz
