They need to dish some of that to at least keep Browner. What good corners are still out there?

This needs some work STAT

Current cornerback snapshot on Patriots' roster:
Kyle Arrington
Logan Ryan
Malcolm Butler
Alfonzo Dennard
Dax Swanson
Justin Green

Not mad one bit at Darrelle. I respect the hell out of how he does business and I always knew this was a real possibility from the moment we signed him. I'll always appreciate ol' boy for helping us get to the top once again, but wow man. So much for giving it your best shot @ defending the crown.

The deal McCourty eventually got & release of Browner at last minute were done w/ Revis contract in mind. Now both of those moves look funny in the light right now...

Kraft & Belichick didn't do their jobs.

He's a ruthless businessman, gotta respect that but yeah it sucks. Kraft/BB tried to play moneyball once again and lost. You can't replace someone like Revis,I just hope they put the money to good use.

Has Pot Roast been signed yet?

you have to believe that BB has a backup plan, right? i mean there is no way he assumed 100% he would resign revis. so hopefully there's a contingency plan, although it's not going to touch revis+browner.

in all reality it's probably something along the lines of, we just won the chip. we're fine just being competitive

FWIW,there's talk that the team pulled out of the bidding yesterday...

This would be a WHOLE lot tougher to swallow had we not just won

I'd like to think there's a legit plan B, but I also feel like it's something along the lines of just being competitive with what's in house or picking up a mid level free agent.

I want no parts of Arrington and Ryan being the starting CBs to start next season :smh:

This is exactly how I feel about it.

Very bittersweet, but content for Revis because I respect him. Not happy w/ BB & Kraft once again, but not as furious as I should be since there's a natural pass after winning the whole damn thing.

Even at the very best execution of any plan B...there's gonna be a downgrade at corner no matter what.

Letting Browner go for the price they had him at is lowkey just as bad. If it's true they pulled out of the bidding yesterday, then not picking up Browner's option makes even less sense to me. What we're looking at now is probably another change in philosophy w/ their D.

The luxury of having the perfect technician Revis & physical bully Browner at opposite ends...

Thinking about it again,Browner isn't as useful without someone like Revis since they'll most likely switch back to cover 2 now. They could've at least traded him to capitalize on his value though :smh:

It was so sweet while it lasted :frown: |I.

I just really want to see some work done about the pass rush now that they can finally start spending, the D can afford to be weak at the back if they're strong up front.

enuff with revis, hes done for. his motivation is done. new england is a disciplined franchise. they are all about guys with the right mindsets. they love to lower the average age on the team. revis‘ name is a trade mark though, and more costly than what he does in the grand scheme of things.

Just woke up to this

First off, are you ******* kidding me?

I respect Revis for going out and getting the money on his last big deal, dudes agent/management team is A1. A lot of dudes should take notes on how he plays the game to maximize his value in this league, can't eem be mad at him with how short these NFL careers are + these greedy *** owners. I'm happy we were able to win a SB out of the situation and it definitely makes this a little bit easier to deal with but damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn breh's

I'm not at all looking forward to going back to the Pre-Talib days of bum QB's coming in and lighting us up all over the field

The fact that BB hasn't exactly knocked it out the park in the area of drafting and developing DB's doesn't help either.

There's no way we're replacing what he does on the field so the logical thing to do is improve a lot on the pass rush and go back to working the hell out of the bend-but-don't-break philosophy.

On a more positive note, we're looking at a easier upcoming schedule compared to what we had this previous year so there's that. Also we should get a nice comp pick for him leaving not to mention this kinda strengthens the tampering charge against the Jets, make them **** boys come off their 1st rounder Goodell

Welp came home and found out all this news

Fine with Revis getting his money, he deserves it but letting Browner go over a few mil, even though he is not as his versatile as most of our other corners, I believe keeping him to help out would have been a huge plus

Sad to see Vereen go, always loved him and the way he went about the game, his quickness made up for Woodhead leaving, I trust and hope Bill is doing the right thing as always, hoping we come up big the next few days

at this point, let's see how it plays out. will be interesting to see how the defense shapes up on the back end. and will mccourty prove to be worth all that money.

yall should know, stop being emotionally attached.to.players.

Colin McCarthy in Foxboro along with Sheard. Randy Starks was cut by the Dolphins I would be surprised if he didn't get a look also.

Edit: we resigned Tyms

im not shocked he walked , im shocked at the number he walked for

we couldnt do better than 39M guaranteed ? really ?

my biggest question is where the money is going to go . our biggest playmakers are already all locked up , and we have to spend the money somewhere

:x :smh:

What happened to Dennard  Dude had potential. Had BB writing personal letters to judges asking him to be excused for assaulting cops and the whole nine

Maybe a couple of these dudes can step their game up a little bit. Also, with no Revis and Browner, how is Chung going to look ? Probably buns

:smh:
