***OFFICIAL NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS SEASON THREAD*** (13-4) - Patriots @ Broncos - Sun 3:05PM EST - Bra

Ryan Fitz to the Jets; reunited with Chan Gailey. I'm interested to see what they do with that #6 pick now.

Apparently Vince is still considering us along with the Texans and 2 other teams...:nerd:

The team is interested in Nick Fairley as well...

Jets are aggressively pushing to become relevant again . on paper , their moves look very solid across the board

like i said above -- we're going to have to spend the money somewhere . the teams cleared damn near 30M in cap room in the past few days . interested to see what moves we make

Fairley and Sheard would be a solid move. Along with another receiver i.e. Harvin, Bowe, etc

Like I said when the news broke, Wilfork never ruled out a return in his letter. If the numbers are right on both sides I think he's back.

Of the available CB's none of them are number 1 guys so I honestly think we should aim to address that in the draft. If I had to pick tho, since Cromartie is more than likely headed to NY, I would look at Chris Culliver for cheap, Tramon Williams, or Perrish Cox. From what I saw/heard from a Raiders fan I know, Tarell Brown was decent last year and might be worth a look as well. It's all dependent on what scheme they plan on trying to run. If their plan to stick with Man and not go to Zone like everyone is expecting, Browner should be at the top of the list.

In other news Butler changed his number to 24 :smokin

So there's some pretty good news moving forward in regards to our cap situation...

Looking at the early cap numbers.. there are some extensions to work out, but #Patriots are set up to have more cap room than ever.

Resign Solder, pick up Jones/Hightower option.. could easily have 40 million in cap room after extensions. #Patriots

Yes for 2016..once you factor in Solder contract, Jones, Hightower option.. there are literally no other big names.. Jags type cap space

Not sold on Solder yet  but it's looking that,Brady willing, this team's not going anywhere anytime soon :smokin :smokin

...

Hopefully they can land a few of the guys they've been linked to lately out of Sheard/Starks/Knighton/Fairley/Bush/Harvin.

never mad with adding edge rushers, no doubt there. dude is apparently pretty versatile too.

let's get some corners in here though. even if we're looking at two b-grade guys. or a b and c...i'll take anything

Love the Sheard signing should help take some snaps/pressure off Nink and Jones.

They're saying Harvin is still meeting with the Bills but plans to visit Foxboro no matter how the Bills talk go.

Make it happen BB :nerd:

okay folks , here are my thoughts

we are not going to solve the corner issues that come with losing Revis and Browner . theres no one in free agency even close to their level of talent , so the secondary will inevitably suffer

what my guess is going to happen -- and the Sheard signing somewhat supports -- is that they are going to bring more agility , versatility , and speed to the defensive line and improve the pass rush . Sheard , Jones , a healthy Easley all add more speed and improve the pass rush . imrpoving the pass rush significantly will mask a lot of the secondary issues . just a thought -- we'll see what other moves are made

I think we all saw that coming , I wonder what the numbers look like tho

Saints shopping everybody we need to be inquiring about Keenan Lewis. I remember us talking with him pre draft the year we ended up taking Chung (09?). If not I think we should seriously be evaluating the CBs in the draft with plans to spend a top pick.

I see a lot of zone coverage in our future similar to what we saw the 4-5 years before we grabbed Talib :x

Looking back at our 2012 game against Seattle, Russell Wilson had a for real coming out party on our weak *** secondary. Literally a few weeks later we trade for Talib

they should go after Bowe.

another big target for Brady.

and if you arent going to stop other teams from scoring...just score more points than them.

The team is interested in Evan Mathis...now that would be a heck of a pick up.

Apparently Bowe followed then unfollowed the teams twitter account a few days before being released, not sure what that would mean

. I wouldn't mind,I'm always open to the idea of adding more weapons on offense.

I'd prefer picking a corner in the draft over the remaining free agent options tbh.

what was Amendola's contract before ?

Browner to the Saints

5 years 28 mil/10 guaranteed

and if you arent going to stop other teams from scoring...just score more points than them.

Man idk about y'all but I'm not tryna go back to that ******** at all :smh:

It was fun as hell watching us go head up and shut receivers down with that press man :\

I'd prefer picking a corner in the draft over the remaining free agent options tbh.

I agree thing is we haven't exactly excelled in that department. I'm sure I don't need to rattle off the names drafted in the BB era  :smh:
