***OFFICIAL NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS SEASON THREAD*** (13-4) - Patriots @ Broncos - Sun 3:05PM EST - Bra

guys...

nice win.... honestly i was more confident in playing the colts than the broncos but i dunno if thats true right now. the peyton and broncos weren't playing that well down the stretch and the whole team overall got exposed, and not taking anything away from the colts. they're balling. I feel a bit uneasy about this game. still confident in the pats, no doubt, but moreso about the possible "magical run" that could be the indianapolis colts.

remember the '06 colts who had the worst run defense and practically got trampled over and over again. once the playoffs started, they were a completely different unit other than peyton (except for his stooopid 2nd half comeback vs pats and played decent in the SB).

'05 steelers were decent, if not solid, team. they won it all. there were several better teams but that didn't stop them.

obviously the '07 and '11 NYG. 'nuff said.

and the most recent, 2012 baltimore ravens.

on the top of the colts playing well across the board, we all know how good andrew luck is. our pass rush is near damn non-existent

agreed on how chandler jones has to wreck havoc this sunday w/o bringing xtra man in to rush luck. we have to be wary of him tuckin in the ball and running for yards. i see you, jamie collins.

This is gonna be a close one, most likely. I think they're gonna give us another scare.

we gotta pound the ball and establish the run because the colts d-line/front 7 aren't nowhere as good as the ravens.

once we do that, we should be OK.

I don't think this one is really gonna be close... Luck in Foxboro against BB is gonna be a very tough thing to overcome. He's a risk taker and our defense matches up much better against them then we did against the ravens.

maybe you guys can help me out.

I'm looking to go to my first pats game but im not from the area. any recommendations as to which site to get tickets from, what's a good hotel, anything I should know about the area?

I'm from NY but I was never a fan of either NY team. my grandfather was a Patriots fan. my gf suggested we should go because she knows how bad I wanna see them play especially Brady before he goes. so it gave me more incentive to.

any help would be appreciated.

would love to be there to see them get into the Super Bowl.

what's the early weather forecast looking like fellas? :nerd:

sunday right now is WARM and rainy

amarano amarano i would use stub hub for tickets if the the pats website/ticketmaster is sold out (which i assume it is). you could try and scalp some tix day of game but that's risky. there's a BUNCH of little hotels/motels right by the stadium, or you could stay 20-30 minutes away and pick pretty much any hotel you want. just use hotwire or one of those travel websites. as far as stuff to do, Patriots Place has a bunch of restaurants and a couple bars. usually popping on the weekend. it's right at the stadium. boston is about 30 minutes away or so, if you want a list of cool restaurants and places to see, feel free to let us know. a bunch of guys in here still live in the area and i can get you a list of my favorites from when i lived there.

StubHub 100%.

Even if you can't make it out to Foxborough, the bars in Boston will be packed. Last weekend, I went by the usual Fenway spots around 3:00 and it was already standing room only.

thanks for the replies. the tickets aren't the hard part it's actually finding a decent place to stay. the patriot hotel is completely booked as of yesterday. i think there was one hotel with an available room but I think it was over 20 mins away.

I dunno how public transportation or cabs work out around there, I'd like to be drinking at the game and not have to worry about the drive back to the hotel especially not being familiar with the area.

back to the tickets, I found other sites besides stub hub like vivid seats (sounds like I'm going to a porno screening) , seatgeek and ticketprocess but I've neevr used them before.

and I don't know where would be better seats. I can get pretty decent field level in the corners or closer to mid field in the 300s. any suggestions?

^ there are a bunch of motels right on RT 1 (same road the stadium is on). you might have to call them up or just google something like "foxboro motels". they won't be fancy or anything, but it'll be SUPER close to the stadium (walking distance).

When my wife and I went for the Denver game in November, we stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Foxborough. It was just fine for staying the night. We paid something like $60/night but with a discount. It was not too far from the stadium at all.

looked good but it's all booked.

I wonder if I should just book a hotel I can find and then worry about the tickets closer to the game. I've heard people get better deals but i dunno how it goes with the Pats

If hotel availability is better in the city, you might consider taking the Patriot Train (especially if you plan on drinking): http://www.mbta.com/riding_the_t/patriots/

bedard credited chandler jones with 8 or 9 QB pressures on flacco. i'm sorry, and i didn't go back and get my bedard on this week, but i didn't see it.

this week, i need to see chandler jones and rob ninkovich actually hitting luck. sacks, strips...all of that. i don't give a **** about "pressures" if what we saw on saturday night was 8 or 9 pressures. get to the damn QB.

I'd hope that Akeem would be a lot more involved in this game as well,he was one of the few pass rushers on the team that consistently brought pressure to the QB this season.

i was in the same boat . watching the game i didnt remember Jones doing much but after seeing it back he played pretty well .

id love to see hits on Luck as well , and most likely pressure will get to the QB much more this game . i cant stress enough how solid that Ravens offensive line was in the game -- they are the best O line we will face in the playoffs now that the Cowboys are out . according to pro football focus :

Ravens O Line ranking : 3rd
Colts O Line ranking : 17th
Seahawks O Line ranking : 19th
Packers O Line ranking : 4th

bro...THAT is a girlfriend! good for you, man. enjoy :pimp:

looks like all the guys are saying the right things. looks like it's been pounded into their heads that this colts team is not the same team that we played weeks ago. this one is healthier, playing well, and riding a lot of momentum. ignore the noise :pimp:

@amarano Good stuff man. Hope y'all have a good time.

Off-topic, but I felt the need to share in here. Some of y'all might know about the NT Fitted that dropped a few weeks ago. I'm barely in General these days so I missed out when it was released. Luckily for me, I was able to secure a hat in my size this past Friday after a couple canceled orders were let go. The funny thing was Method Man said another NT'er had priority before me for the LAST same sized hat...BUT that NT'er was cool enough to pay it forward to someone else after he already got his in a giveaway.

...and wouldn't you know it happened to one of our guys in this thread...fellow Pats fan @mwalker with the assist.

Fam could've easily scooped this up and sold it on eBay or some **** if he wanted to.

Huge shout to the broski @mwalker for the Brady to Gronk type connection. And he ain't 'eem know it.

Brah. Every male member of the Gronkowski family has the same voice

So happy top have Rob on this team :pimp: He's such a game changer. Dude is a certified super star athlete. Always nice to have those guys on our side; we wouldn't be where we are without him. Salute
