I feel like Bill did this so their attention is all on Seattle now. Let the NFL handle their business and the Patriots handle theirs.

,you rarely get a chance to see him like that. You can tell that he's had a lot on his chest over the last week. He came out and backed his team 100% and basically told the league to put up or shut up in regards to the whole issue.

Hopefully this helps them keep their focus fully on Seattle over the next week and not on all the noise surrounding them.

Can't wait to see how focused and inspired these dudes come out next Sunday.

Really I think key in this game is not giving up the deep ball, pressuring wilson, and stopping lynch, also think time possession will be key, long drives will give less chances for wilson to do anything, IMO packers playing conservative and giving back the ball too much helped them to get the W

Having won the super bowl in madden using qb-spy and constabt upfront pressure for about 99% of the game on defense i wholeheartedly co-sign this statement.

stopping Wilson is the key . let Lynch run for 100+ yards . if we can limit Wilsons ability to escape and create the game is ours
 
For someone that might've kicked off the whole air pressure story,John Harbaugh was awfully complementary of BB when interviewed this week

On NFL network Friday:

“He’s been a great mentor, a great friend,” Harbaugh gushed. “I have the utmost respect for him. Bill Belichick is the greatest coach of our generation, without question.  “He’s the toughest guy we have to go against every single year, game plan-wise, and trying to beat his team. They have a great team, they’re where they deserve to be, they’re where they belong and I just consider him my friend.  

On finding out that BB wrote a recommendation for him to the Ravens back '08:

“It meant everything,” Harbaugh said earlier this month of getting Belichick’s recommendation. “The fact that he was willing to do that at the time, I was stunned when I heard the story much later. I would describe the relationship as very good. [I have] great admiration for Coach and consider him . . . I’ve never worked with him, specifically, but for whatever reason he has been always willing to kind of take me under his wing in a way and give me time and insight and things like that.”

Sounds like he might be trying to get back in his good graces. I can't wait for the next time we play Baltimore and Indy,Mangenius handshakes part 2 and 3 coming up

so i posted this in the NFL thread , but i actually looked up and did some research on the relationship between air pressure and temperature . its pretty clear most people havent looked into it , otherwise i doubt this would have become such a huge story

air pressure = air density x temperature . its also known that moist air is less dense than dry air . if the balls were tested indoors in the refs locker room , and then moved outside for the game where it was wet , damp , and 50 degrees . it is impossible for the air pressure not to decrease . impossible .

so it could very well be the case that the patriots balls were approved at the low end of the spectrum (near 12.5 psi) and after being outside for a little over an hour decreased below the legal limit

Stopping lynch is the key....make Russell throw in the pocket

Stopping the run should be the #1 priority

my point is that limiting Wilson's mobility is the key . if Lynch runs for 100 yards , but we force Wilson to have to throw from the pocket he will make mistakes . the seahawks really start to blow games open when Wilson gets going . take the Packers game for example -- Lynch had 100+ yards and they were down 19 - 7 , their only score being off of the fake field goal

if were talking about prioritizing who to stop , IMO Wilson is #1 and Lynch is #2

I get your point

But you have to also realize..Marshawn running for 100+ Opened up Russell keeping on the read option for big gains and 1 on 1 matchups down the field for deep passes (which won the game) and it still allows the team to run everything rather than making the team one dimensional

On the soundfx, I think it was Peppers who told the defense in OT...theyre gonna run it (they were so focused on Marshawn running) and it bit them.

I would think what a Pats D wants is 3rd and longs so the defense can ease up with 8 men in the box...you wont get too many of those chances if Marshawn is running wild.

Containing Russell is key, I just dont think it should be higher priority than Marshawn.

Gladly take Beast having 150 yards without Russell having the worst game of his life again

Thats all good and all but what about the colts balls why did they deflate as well? I tjink the answer to rhat is tom bradys admission that he likes his balls with as least amount of air as possible. Id like to hear where luck likes his balls (pause)

the Colts prepared their own balls , not the Patriots . its very possible that the Patriots balls were approved at the lower end of the legal limit , while the Colts balls were on the higher end
