***OFFICIAL NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS SEASON THREAD*** (13-4) - Patriots @ Broncos - Sun 3:05PM EST - Bra

It's a huge cause of concern since poor O-line play has been one of the biggest factors behind the last few postseason losses

.
Exactly. It really all starts there when you look at the root issues behind damn near every Pats L in the postseason from '07 until present. Opposing defense dominates our o-line and the offense goes to ****. Unfortunately, as elite as Tom is, he's never really had the ability to completely shrug off constant inside/outside pressure and hits/sacks during the game (for example, Big Ben is GREAT at this). It shakes him up and throws him off his game like pretty much every other regular ol' QB below his standard. So it's important to keep his *** upright and give him options at different levels so he can pick the other guys apart.

Josh ain't really helping him or the line out either with those plays that take forever to develop. Dudes try to get too cute sometimes and outsmart everyone.

I ain't predicting anything yet, but our defense & ST this year give me enough confidence that if it gets ugly, I KNOW they have the ability to carry us throughout the game. They've proved it vs. great competition this season.

I'm tired of the slow starts, man.

I need these dudes to get back to putting up 14/17/21 points on their head before they score.

been waiting to watch the whole game back before posting (watching it now on NFL Game Rewind) , but did yall notice Brady yell at Cameron Fletching at the end of the play that started at the 0:20 mark of the 3rd quarter ? Cam gets blown up and brady has to get rid of it and yells "GOD DAMNIT CAM !" its just like the "GOD DAMNIT DONALD !" clip of Peyton Manning   :smh:

what a damn s h i t show that was. as expected the defense and the ST did their part but the offense was just cringe worthy.  if i'm not mistaken but the stats for the game was pulled up during the game in regards of total yards and the pats had 63 compared to jets' 250ish and that was midway in the third quarter

really, bro?

can't happen. i dunno but seems like we've been playing down to our competition this year more than years past.

good news there'll be none of that in the playoffs but then again, with how our offensive line has been playing, not good. kinda feels like we've reverted to our early season struggles up front. brady played shook for most part of the game. stout defensive line and defenses that push us around won't end well for us like you guys said about our playoff losses to jets, baltimore, ny giants, etc.... those teams had those qualities in them.  kinda wished buffalo won yesterday so they'd go all out against us and hopefully sharpen us for the playoffs but don't think it'll be much of a difference since they should get amped off just playing us.

lol at amendola being the player of the game for us offensively. you know it's not usually good when that's the case

josh mcdaniels, congratulations buddy you found another way for me to want to wring your neck

thought we should've ran the ball more...or at least tried to commit more. attack them instead of  letting them putting their hands on dirt and attack/rush us damn near every play compounded with OL's struggles.

at pats players calling big vince, "air wilfork" after that block yesterday...

We're on to Buffalo and secure that #1 seed for the HFA!

if the Bengals win this game well be guaranteed home field throughout the playoffs and we need to sit EVERYONE next week

S/o to Peyton Manning's arm for ensuring that the road to the Superbowl in the AFC goes through Gillette

bro...agreed...but you know bill will have our boys are playing well into the 2nd half

seriously though...give brady, gronk, edelman, revis, jones, collins, browner a couple series. but sit them the **** down quickly.

i want to see TONS of pretty jimmy running the show and tons of logan ryan getting cooked on sunday. time to play all the bums

ideally...brady, gronk, and revis don't even suit up. but a two week lay off is a long time, so i expect them to get some reps.

edelman should sit entirely since he's dealing with head issues.

give the tuba player, cannon, flemming tons of time. let em practice.

How much of Belichick like move would it be to bring in Mike Williams this week? Could definitely use the added depth and he's a former Bill and Shiano man and lord knows Bill loves those

I don't agree with sitting everyone down for the entire game. I would sit down the guys that are nursing injuries (Connolly, Arrington, Blount, etc.) and Gronk. PLEASE sit Gronk's *** down no matter what.

This offense has been trending in the wrong direction for the past few weeks, and y'all want them to go basically 2+ weeks without any steady game action? Nah man...we've ALL seen how that worked out for the Colts back in the Peyton days.

They already have enough trouble as it is starting off games real slow. IMO 2 weeks of nothing but practice might **** that up even more.

Keep certain guys in to start off the game and be ready to pull them at any moment. I want them feeling good about themselves going into the bye week.

Everyone important should be out deep in the 2nd Q or halftime.

That's how I feel about it right now.

We don't want this to be like the game vs Baltimore when we had home-field advantage

I'd agree with DSK on this, Gronk would probably play the 1st half and then they'll give Tim a lot of reps

if the offensive line struggles as they've been doing, i want Brady out of that game ASAP. sorry, Jimmy

Gronk a quarter max. Same with Revis. No need have a repeat Welker situation.

I agree with some of of you in that I'd prefer if they kept some starters in for at least a half because the offense hasn't really been in rhythm at all the last few weeks and I don't know how helpful a 2 week layoff added to that would be.

Rest the guys that aren't fully healthy and play the healthy starters for a couple of series.

all i hear on the radio today is everyone talking about playing seattle. **** pisses me off. LONG WAY TO GO before thinking about Glendale. we have to win two big games before all of that. stop talking about playing seattle.

Yeah

No way i'm looking to the Super Bowl yet

Especially with how shaky the offense looked on Sunday. I'm hoping that can be chalked up to playing a tough divisional opponent on the road, though

However, I do think the Patriots are the best overall team in the Conference, both on field and on paper. They can win in a lot of different ways
