i think he's still good for 2-3 years to be honest. you look at the drop off in talent around him and i think that has more to do with his "poor" play

Haven't had a true #1 in years too, except for Welker but you can't really call him a #1

You Patriots' fans need not worry about QB. Thomas has plenty of juice left. He's still 1a or 1b in this league.

we've got a pretty big position battle at WR that's going to be going at training camp, as weird as that sounds
you have to figure that the guys that are safe are:

dobson
lafell
slater
the guys fighting for a spot:
thompkins
boyce
gallon
i think typically we've kept six on the gameday roster. wondering if that stays the same this year.

So hyped to see what kind of NFL players Easley and James White turn into. I got a good feeling about both of them. And every "expert" I've seen writing about NE's D so far hasn't been saying many great things, I think we will be a top 10 defense this year as long as injuries don't become a major issue.

yeah i mean Slater (IMO) is a tough one to cut. he is the special teams captain and ace. he's a leader on that unit. and bill loves the guy. smart kid.
i think with the WRs on the bubble, how much value can thompkins or boyce add with everyone else being healthy? then there's gallon. seventh rounder who i assume makes less than boyce. either way, should be fun seeing them fight for a spot. in a way, it could come down to who develops the most chemistry and jimmy G as that's who we're going to see a ton of in preseason games. whoever works the best with him might grab that last spot.
