i just don't see how Ridley getting cut and Bolden making it (that's who Mike Reiss has slated to make the team) makes sense. probably don't save a lot of money doing that. a motivated Ridley in a contract year should do major work this season

 at mankins being a Buccaneer. Logan's one of the toughest guy out there and he plays with a mean streak and sets the tone. You don't trade a guy like him and if BB felt he declined or was expendable, he does lotta of stuff that doesn't show up on the stat sheet even though he's OL.
 
I am pissed. I liked Kelly and thought he looked good and no reason to not think otherwise since he played with the first team and all but with that said, I can live with him getting cut but now with mankins getting traded?!!!? I dunno man. BB is one of the better coaches out there that has a good sense of team's pulse and whatnot but obviously he felt that this team would do just fine without mankins. but still

Yeah BB in the past has proven to be ruthless with just about anybody,no matter how tenured they've been. Same thing happened with Moss and Seymour a couple years back :\. I don't always agree with some of these moves but I respect his judgement in knowing whats best for the team.

The trade was for another much needed TE in Tim Wright and a draft pick. Hoping it's a high pick to make up for the value we gave up in Mankins.

pretty shocking at first glance. bedard is right the more i think about it. we're selling mankins high. we're going to avoid another ugly contract negotiation. last year he wasn't that great and very well could be on the decline. a 4th rounder and Eric Wright...meh. i can deal with this one.

if ridley gets cut though...i will be disappointed.

I 2nd that about Ridley dsa,James White hasn't impressed me so far this preseason.

im trying to take a deep breath and just trust the Pats here , but its really confusing to me . sure we have a lot of players on the O-line , but were talking about the left side of the line and our team's most trusted lineman

the other piece of this im worried about is how long it typically takes Brady and a new receiving offensive weapon to get on the same page ...

I guess they didn't feel like he was worth the money anymore plus we have McCourty and Solders contracts looming

yeah i don't know how much Wright can come right in but it's decent. he can catch the ball which we desperately need for depth
 
Told my friend that we were selling him high before the decline....they probably think the decline will be here sooner than later

The Patriots released the following players: DL Ben Bass, DB Travis Hawkins, WR Derrick Johnson, LB Deontae Skinner, DB Jemea Thomas and WR Wilson Van Hooser.

In addition, the Patriots placed rookie RB Tyler Gaffney and rookie LB Cameron Gordon on injured reserve.

ridley is safe cuz jenknows the offems, but i hope veteen gets yhe screen plays. ridley not same since thwt head hit
