Bring on the Broncos!!!! Finally not another morning (i'm in the west coast) Sunday game. With all the halloween festivities coming up i would of had to record the game.

Not much needs to be said. LOL  Great onslaught.  Curious about this VINCENT JACKSON thing tho.

today was obviously really fun. everything was clicking.

on offense, brady looking like prime brady. my favorite pass was the one on 3rd and 18 or so where he scrambled a bit to the right, moved up towards the line of scrimmage and fired it down to the goal line to gronk. awesome to see that. gronk clearly back and rolling. brandon lafell coming on strong and really becoming that outside guy that we've been missing. not necessarily a deep guy, but he can work those sideline routes pretty damn well. and i love the fight he has once he gets the ball. good to see tim wright get into the action some more today. all that success with little to nothing from edelman, which is good. can't have him taking so many shots week after week. offensive line was on point today. that combo clearly is the best one.

on defense, revis and browner were flat out awesome today. if that's what we can expect from browner, oh man. thought hightower played great today. good to see ayers come in and make a few tackles as well as get that sack. nink making plays out there. got a little sloppy late but that's almost expected. can't really knock em at that point with the score the way it was.

on to denver. key will be getting some sort of pressure on manning obviously. should be a fun week leading up to this game. fingers crossed that no injuries popped up that we hear about tomorrow.

:smokin

30 for 35 with 3 of the incompletions being drops . Brady played a perfect game

i like what im seeing out of Jonas Gray . he runs with power like Ridley , but seems to be a bit more shifty

weve done a great job protecting the ball and haven't turned it over since the Chiefs game . we have to continue that stretch going forward ; winning the turnover battle is so important

something that may be getting missed is how good weve become on 3rd down offensively . weve converted several 3rd and longs (10+ yards) in the pass few games , which does wonders to extend drives and give our defense more time to rest . feel pretty good going into the Denver game next week -- the guys just need to continue to improve

Prez meant to ask you...you're in PDX right? do you live downtown? there were some pats fans at the bar i was at today (visiting some friends here in PDX for the weekend). dude had nikes, a pats hat, and a gronk jersey...thought to myself, wonder if there's any chance in hell that's Prez?

 nah man it wasnt me . i live in NE portland ; i was at On Deck in the Pearl loud as **** during the whole game

how long are you in town for ?

Before last night I was chalking up the Denver game as a definite L

Now i Think we have a fair shot . Since the game is in Foxboro , it should be close

Winning next week would be a bonus . No matter what happens im confident in this team the rest of the way

Gronkowski was unreal last night

ah gotcha. yeah we almost went to On Deck but ended up at the Fields in the Pearl. i'm taking off in an hour or so. friends usually go to On Deck or Bdubs but wanted to check out the Fields. wasn't bad but pretty tame for a sunday

Will next week's game be flexed to the Sunday night game by any chance?

I'll be up there for my 1st game in Foxboro :pimp:

The Fields has a great set up and the food is good , but its a bit too tame for me and them fools couldnt figure out how to get games up the first two weeks of the season so i had to move off it

^

they STILL haven't figured it out man. they were STRUGGLING to get the smaller TVs set up to different games. luckily that crew of Pats fans on the center couch had the big TV already set to go with the Pats game

food was definitely on point though. really damn good...like most places in PDX

Not much to say that hasn't been mentioned already. Two quick notes though:

- I thought Gronk's second TD was for SURE getting called back. IMO that ball was moving too much so I was surprised to hear the catch being confirmed. This is where the NFL's new emphasis on rolling with the call on the field unless it's 100% indisputable worked in our favor. That gets called back last year.

- Haven't looked at it again today, but when I saw that Cutler fumble (real time and replays), I kept thinking he should've been ruled down when he was grabbed by the ankles. There was a moment there when he couldn't advance anymore and I think that's when you blow it dead. Not sure if we get type of leeway on the road. Ain't 'eem mad though, Cutler deserved it for being a doofus with whatever the **** he attempted to do there.

On to the yearly litmus test next week...

at what DSA said about Thomas completing that 3rd and 18 for 21 yard gain. that's what I want to see!!! So glad that Thomas said he emphasized moving out of the pocket and

throwing on the run and said that's what BB talked about on getting better at. Dat patriot improvement week to week basis
wink.gif
laugh.gif

BB might be the best at adapting injuries and filling in within the house with the vacant spot(s). The thing that eats at us, pats fans, are that we wish BB loads the team with more

talent like the '07 team. the sky's the limit if he does that because his coaching will figure the rest and put the players with talent in the best position(s) to succeed instead of relying

his coaching prowess. Am I right???

No ridley? No problem, promote Jonas gray who runs like a beast and appears to be as shifty as ridley if not more. gray looks stout no homo. that big guns (arms).

No mayo? Ok, let few guys split the responsibility and make up for it. Hightower is taking the brunt of it (communications) and seems to do good. Good thing he has the

experience after going thru it last yr.

No chandler? Promote Zach moore and Easley and coach 'em up

@ this collective sad sack of crap.

After Talib went out in the 1st quarter, it was Alfonzo Dennard, Kyle Arrington, Logan Ryan, rookie Jamie Collins vs. Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker, Julius Thomas, Wes Welker.

Good God.

Forget getting a sack on Peyton...no one on our side even registered a QB HIT.

No extra motivation needed for Sunday's game.

As much as I am excited for this game upcoming up

Brady vs Rodgers has my attention more

Can't wait for Thomas to cook, I wonder what's the game plan for this Sunday,

I think we're gonna beat the Broncos by 2TDs (bold prediction)

extremely excited for this sunday. as DSK said...it's our annual litmus test game. where we do we stand against the class of the league. and yeah crazy to see the lineup we trotted out there in the AFC Champ game. pathetic

one thing to keep in mind about last year's November throw down where we won...weather was a huge factor. the Broncos came in with a run heavy plan because of the wind and Peyton's duck balls. we likely won't be that lucky again. so Bill really needs to find a way to get pressure on Peyton. i like our offense 10 times better this year versus where we were last year obviously, but a trackmeet with the Broncos isn't a fight i want to get into.

the build up to these games is almost better than the actual game

After that November affair, Talib also mentioned to reporters that during preparation week for the game...Bill prepped the team on Peyton checking into the run when the Pats ran certain looks on D. Bill knew Peyton would do it even if there were holes and exploits in the secondary because of how "robotic" (for lack of a better term) he is. Almost as if Peyton has to follow his own code no matter what.

SMH I can't find Talib's quote right now.

Doubt we'll see that again since Peyton is smart enough to adjust and find mismatches anywhere.

This is the game where Chandler Jones and Mayo's absence will most likely stick out like a sore thumb (I'm still not forgetting Tommy Kelly either

). Would've been nice to face them at full strength with possibly #1 seed and home field throughout playoffs on the line, but that's football for you.

Damn. Off the point but was just watching top 10 plays of NFL on ESPN and kenbrell thompkins had top 10 play and he plays for the raiders
eek.gif
laugh.gif
I mean he was arguably our best WR in

training camp and then proceeds to fall off the face of the earth. WHY? Guy works hard and built a rapport with Tom and TB12 has even said so. I mean, for whatever reasons, there's

definitely more to it than what it seems. Its amazing in this day and age that the pats/BB moreso can keep the main reasons(s) quiet and not let it leak out to the media for them to stir it up.

What bugs me is that BB even said that he'd look forward working with thompkins again when the opportunity presents itself again or something along those lines. Da fuq?

It's just that he showed promise along with Dobson last year and thompkins looked great in training camp (I know its just training camp but sometimes its preview of things to come yanno).

But nooo, it just hasn't translated it on the field this year and goes MIA then released and makes an appearance on top 10 plays wearing other uniform
eyes.gif
For all we know, he hasn't been in

the doghouse so this just furthers the head stratching. I want answers dammit
laugh.gif

As for Dobson, it's odd how he, IMO, did more stuff to get himself in the doghouse or off the team (by mouthing off, performance not up to par, etc etc) but BB sticks his neck out for him and

for what? More healthy stratches. Gotcha. ****'s not adding up.

ugh. when I typed out my thoughts out, it looked to be in right form/place and when I press submit, it's all messed up.

 :smh:

No extra motivation needed for Sunday's game.

Just reminded how this dude got injured in the 1st quarter two AFCC's in a row :smh:

This game was huge for us from a confidence standpoint heading into the Denver game next week.

Still not 100% confident in this group but I think it's pretty clear that's our best combo at O-line . Gray looked like he can fill in pretty well as big back. I posted it on the last page but our big pass catchers ATE all 5tds went to Gronk/Lafell/Wright, 26 completions on 26 targets :pimp: Bears secondary is garbage but it was still a nice showing. Brady was on fire all his passes were on target literally :smokin

Defense - Revis and Browner :pimp:

Run D was better than the Jets game but we still need to tighten up. Easley played well, Collins got absolutely roasted by Forte  but I thought he played well also. Something that hasn't been talked about a lot is Chung. Everybody was apprehensive when we picked him up but he has been quietly playing well, I think the coaching staff has done a good job of putting him in situations for him to succeed

couple other things to remember from the original game

the TO bug bit us HARD and we started off in a huge hole that we overcame . i dont see that happening again this game

our defensive back core is significantly better going into this year , which im expecting to help tremendously . Browner is big and physical enough to take on Thomas , and Revis can lock up either demaryus or sanders

whats going to be CRITICAL is whether or not we can establish the run early on . it will be very difficult against the Broncos defense , but if we can i believe our offense will open the game wide open
