Man that's what has me hyped going into this game. This is definitely the best secondary we've had in years depth, talent, and versatility wise :pimp:

It's been interesting to see how we've played coverage wise this year. Sunday for instance seemed like one of those 1:1 matchup type games but we played a lot of zone.

Has me curious to see how they come out Sunday. Arrington was good on Welker both games last year so we'll prolly see that again. So maybe Revis/DT, Browner/JT, Welker/Arrington, Sanders/Ryan-Dennard(?), should be a good matchup :pimp:

I also agree that establishing some semblance of a rushing attack is going to be key against a tough D

its part of the reason Brady was so well protected on Sunday . the play action had Chicago mind ****** . sunday cant come soon enough ...
 
Casillas move was similar to the Ayers trade, we get depth and it should only cost us a few spots in the draft based on how the season has played out so far

They also officially signed Alan Branch so more DT depth

the Broncos are giving us 3 points on Sunday ... disrespectful

we havent lost to an AFC team at home during the reg season in 42 games
 
does that mean we'd be six point dogs if the game was in denver? assuming the home team gets about 3 points just off homefield (not sure if that's generally true but thought i heard that).
 
If you ask me, the Pats are getting enough respect by Vegas. Maybe even a little bit much.

Both rosters are very different from last year's November game. But I think they remember how those Broncos came in here and went up 24-0 before the Pats came back and won (with some fluky stuff in-between). 

Denver is MUCH better now and they've handled the 2nd toughest SOS pretty well thus far. Their only loss was a close game in arguably the toughest road environment in the NFL...and without Peyton getting a chance in OT.

In terms of injuries...they're in a great position right now. Pats have two of their best four defensive players out.

This game is important on many levels. Denver wins and everyone else can pretty much kiss the #1 seed and homefield adv. goodbye.

I want us to win but I also want us to hold some stuff back....I just wanna beat these dudes in January lol

 I will miss your constant botches of athlete's names and achievements. 

We're already getting a celebration with players from the dynasty years...and now you can bank on Bob Kraft making tribute to Menino.

Goes without saying there's gonna be a ton of emotion in that stadium on Sunday. Hopefully the team capitalizes on it.

i dont think were getting enough respect . we arguably have a better home field in conference than any team in the entire NFL . we havent lost a home reg season game to an AFC team in 5 ******* years

i agree -- denver is a better team than we are , but the standard "home field equals 3 points" is too blanket for the Pats historically

Tom recently mentioned on WEEI that he has a guy that he works with about his facebook account...he has input as to what they post and realizes how important it is to get into social media brand wise

Does weather play a factor? We know how Bill Belichick feels  about weather forecasts a few days leading into the game. But Belichick said he does take stock in those forecasts about an hour before the game, and the main thing to watch for Sunday is wind. Tom Brady's large hands help him throw one of the tighter spirals in the game, which can help the football cut through the wind. We wouldn't put Peyton Manning  in that category. This could be an edge for the Patriots. :

Stork orders up Pot Roast: The last time we saw these two teams square off, in last season's AFC Championship game, Broncos defensive tackle Terrance "Pot Roast" Knighton  dominated. He controlled the middle of the line of scrimmage, beating then-center Ryan Wendell  multiple times, as well as then-left guard Logan Mankins. The player who figures to see the most of Knighton this year is center Bryan Stork, the fourth-round draft choice out of Florida State. Can Stork do better? 

Broncos matching up with Gronk: Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski  is coming off a three-touchdown performance in which the Bears tried a little bit of everything when it came to matchups -- from safeties to linebackers. Nothing worked, and with Gronkowski playing at such a high level, the Patriots' offense is obviously elevated to a higher level. One figures the Broncos will devote significant resources to Gronkowski, but they don't have one player who looks like the sure-fire answer. If it's safety T.J. Ward, who delivered the hit to Gronkowski's right knee that tore his ACL last December, that's a compelling storyline within the game. 
 

Picking out DB vs. WR matchups vs. Broncos: Denver's lethal passing offense should have the Patriots in subpackages for most of the game, meaning New England's perceived quality depth in the secondary will be tested. If the Patriots ultimately play man coverage, we'd project Darrelle Revis  onDemaryius Thomas; Brandon Browner  on Julius Thomas; Kyle Arrington  on Wes Welker; and Alfonzo Dennard/Logan Ryan  onEmmanuel Sanders. As linebacker Dont'a Hightower  said, the Patriots want to make this a physical game, which includes powerful jams at the line of scrimmage and coming down hard on their crossing routes. Almost reminds me of the Patriots-Colts plan, circa 2001. Will it be Hightower who delivers the Bryan Cox-like hit? 
 

Taking care of the ball: Turnovers could be included on this list every week, as the Patriots are 6-0 when they don't have a turnover. Their five giveaways are the second-lowest total in the NFL. The team with the fewest giveaways? Denver, of course (4). 
 

Walt Anderson's officiating crew: If the first eight weeks of the season are any indication, expect a lot of penalty flags. Walt Anderson's crew, which is assigned the game, averages the third-highest total of penalty flags per game this season. Specifically, roughing-the-passer and hands-to-the-face penalties have been plentiful from this crew.

I think Vereen is definitely going to be a X factor in this game because of his versatility as a pass catching back and blocking abilities 
 
agreed with everything you guys are saying. running game will absolutely be important. shane needs to be on his game tomorrow. i also think tim wright is going to get some good chances tomorrow to make an impact
 
As long as we chill with those penalties on DEFENCE and get the running game going strong early. We can win this 28-17

Wondering about that too. I really hope it's not a team or player issue. His name hasn't shown up on the injury reports...

Ehhhh, I don't know about Malcolm Butler on Emmanuel Sanders. We'll see how that goes.
