***OFFICIAL NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS SEASON THREAD*** (13-4) - Patriots @ Broncos - Sun 3:05PM EST - Bra

here are the notable early cuts:

josh boyce
roy finch
jeremy gallon :frown:
jagerrad davis
kannoris davis
jon halapio
jonas gray
bunch of others that were clearly not making it

big news....tyms to remain on the team through his suspension. most of y'all called that so spot on there. team is probably making a final call between ridley and bolden but i see no reason for bolden to get the nod. expect ridley to be here.

yeah i like where we're at at WR as well. we need someone to drop a S or LB that we can add for depth

can any die hard fans tell me more about amendola? i'm thinking about starting him as my third WR over a bunch of dudes but i don't know anything about him. pats preseason has been confusing.

pats nursing his glass *** in the preseason. teams will focus on gronk and edelman...leaving amendola and the X plenty of room to do work. you have to factor in lafell though.

for fantasy, amendola is not a good option. too many options in NE for Brady and he will spread the ball

wonder if mallet is the last guy to get cut. has to be him or bolden i would think. hope its bolden

amendola got paid a crap ton by the pats (for their standards)... really disappointed that he isn't used more and is made of glass. gronk is sorta made of glass too though. i guess i'll stay away until i see more. dobson, thompkins, lafell - i know nothing about

he'll contribute and i think he'll be fine this year health wise. last year at this time, the offense was pretty much depending on him and edelman. that first game they just worked the hell out of him and made him play though a tweak in that buffalo game. he delivered and we won, but that set him back for the rest of the year. this year i expect him to be fine with much less reps right off the bat.

yeah gronk's injuries aren't the same. it's not constant groin and hamstring pulls. he's getting torpedoed in the knee or breaking his arm.

Crooks.

What's good my guy?

Ryan Mallett has made the team...

LB depth is a concern right now. I wonder if Bill addresses that through waivers.

Does anyone feel like the media is UNDERPLAYING the Revis acquisition ?

Its just like "O, NE scooped Revis, decent pick up"

Personally im still pinching myself daily that Revis is a Patriot. Before he signed with New England he was regarded as basically the best CB in recent memory. After the signing, he has been regarded as a slight upgrade over Aqib Talib, who no one gave a damn about before BB traded for him

NE will be a force this year. Homerism aside, i think they are the best team in the AFC without question. Denver's offense will NOT cook like they did last year and both Talib and Ware are HUGE question marks . Welker is DONE. Denver panicked in an effort to improve, while Bill waited in the cut and signed Revis.

Best Coach.
Best GM.
Best QB.
Best defensive player (before signed w NE)
Best offensive player who is not a QB (Gronk, when healthy)

To me, 2014 is our best chance in recent memory. New England is absolutely stacked this year

i think we're all (fans, media, etc) just hoping he lives up to the billing. until we see him in a pats uniform shutting down one side of the field, i don't want to get TOO high on it

it's almost like i don't want to jinx it or get my hopes up. but yeah...it's a SIGNIFICANT signing on more than one level.
