***OFFICIAL NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS SEASON THREAD*** (13-4) - Patriots @ Broncos - Sun 3:05PM EST - Bra

Wassup with Revis?

Despite the rushing stats, I think our Defense and Special Teams really did well.  But even with the praises, Brady's throw seemed at times a tad terrible.  He seemed to have under thrown, even having a hand off miscue.  However, at times, he would find the tight seams.

Revis should be OK. probably will get an extra day off this week for that hammy.

Brady had some misfires, but 66% and nothing atrocious minus that near INT...i'll take that 9 times out of 10. at least that's how i saw it. we also dropped a few passes tonight.

Yeah, it's like people can't have any middle ground with #12 (or the Pats, for that matter). It's either he sucks and can't make any throws or he's still in his prime and hasn't lost a step.

Dude is 37 years old with mostly below-average & mediocre pieces surrounding him. The days of racking up offensive seasons like '07, '10, '11, etc. are presumably gone as long as the current situation holds the same.

He even admitted that himself this past week.

My heart ******* sank when Revis was lying there on the ground. Scary sight bruh.

Biggest reason I'm happy they got this win is you get to enjoy it after admitting to having an emotional & stressful last few weeks. :frown: I saw your 30 post diatribe and wondered where was all that homerism during our recent fact-checking time, but it's cool.

Santa Claus delivers Christmas presents, the Easter Bunny is real, Bill is a top 5 GM in the league, and the Patriots aren't $14.1M under the cap. No one can tell us otherwise. :pimp:

Lmaooo

Lighten up bro. I get that you're a Knicks fan and accustomed to losing, but as a Pats fan you're allowed to enjoy a victory. Ive never seen someone so eager to see their favorite team fail :rolleyes

everybody isn't a delusional fan like yourself. sometimes we have to be realistic

If Brady is really trying to play into his 40s he will not retire as a Patriot. No way New England lose Jimmy to free agency because if he play each preseason like this past, teams will be knocking on his door

How exactly am i delusional?

Im from the area brah. I love this team. If yall want to be negative all the time then do your thing. If youre not feeling what im posting, hit that block button

AWESOME win last night. :pimp:

NooEra...you're part of the Pats fam here and been in this thread from the get go. so you're posts are always welcomed and appreciated.

i think with the negativity you're seeing, it's not as much negativity as it is some us just demanding this team be given the best chance to succeed. last night, almost EVERYTHING that we've been *****ing and moaning about was done. just like DSK laid out...we wanted Revis to go man on man. done. we wanted them to open the playbook and go up tempo with Brady calling the shots at the line. done. we wanted the best offensive line combo that we had. done. and so on and so on. they did it. and we saw the results. domination. and that's not me saying that we know what's best for the team or anything, but it was just clear whatever plan or theories they were trying to put in place were not working. and for a while, it seemed like they didn't care to change it up. but they did make the adjustments last night and it worked out really well. so you should see less "negativity" from some of us...at least for this week

last night still has me feeling :pimp:

Its all good bros . I appreciate the job BB and the front office has done ; putting a contender on the field each and every single year, no exceptions.

Winning the division every single year, what other team does that? That **** is hard as **** in a league that is constantly changing and evolving.

I'm not about to let myself take all of that for granted after a few bad games.

Anyway, on to actual football matters.

Gronkowski high stepping after getting into the endzone was a beautiful sight

The whole season relies on his health. If Wright is legit , and we can go TE heavy, Gronk is going to haul in 16 TDs, at least

With the line playing so well against what is supposedly one of the best D's in football, and Wright having a huge game , that Mankins trade doesnt look so bad  It changes so drastically week to week

Last night was pretty awesome. I still have chills from the tribute to Kenny Still's daughter and cancer victims, definitely one of the cooler moments I've seen in the NFL and it's a welcome departure from all the negativity that's been surrounding the league this season. Seeing Still being moved to tears by it made me proud to be a Pats fan :pimp:. For all the stick we give Kraft about football/personnel decisions,he's always been one of the few class act owners.

Gronkowski Shows His Excitement For Brady's Big Night
4 hours ago
After hearing his teammate Tom Brady (Michigan) receive criticism throughout the week for his slow start to the season, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski (Arizona) was vocal in his support for Brady on Sunday night after Brady's bounce-back performance in the Patriots' 43-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

"I told my brother before we came to the game, ‘I’m going to make 12 look like Tom Brady,’" Gronkowski said, via the Boston Herald. "And I went out there with my teammates, and we made Tom Brady look like Tom Brady after you guys were criticizing him all week -- the fans, everything. And it feels so good. He’s such a leader, and went over 50,000 yards today. He’s an unbelievable player, and I’m so glad to play with him."

Gronkowski was excited to hear the Gillette Stadium fans chanting Brady's name during the game.

"He showed them that he's still a young buck and he has a lot in his tank left," Gronkowski said. "I'm proud to be playing with him. It was awesome seeing all the Brady chants out there."

Gronkowski had 6 catches for 100 yards and 1 touchdown on the night and caught the first-quarter pass that sent Brady over 50,000 career passing yards. He reflected on being the one to share the milestone moment with Brady.

"It's an honor," Gronkowski said. "I'm humble about it. It's great to even play with him. He's such a leader and he helps make me the player I am.

"He deserves every honor he gets, and I'm just proud to be out there playing with him."

Gronk :pimp:

No ill will no era...you went multiple post with sarcastic remarks so I responded :pimp:

End of the day we're all fans so trying to rustle jimmies within the thread was weird.

Browner and Tyms have been activated, per @RapSheet. Browner was obvious. Tyms was the question. Awaiting corresponding transactions.

just saw the news about Kenbrell :smh:

it seems like the increased workload of Wright and Lafell -- along with Dobson coming back and Tyms being activated -- makes me think they just felt there wasnt any room for Thompkins . he's played better than Dobson historically , but the staff must feel like Dobson's potential and upside is more valuable

^ agreed. i think you're right...it's more of a depth chart thing. undrafted FA versus high draft pick (relatively), FA signings, etc. so KT was the odd man out. i was actually pretty sure we would get him on the practice squad if no one claimed him.

Derek Carr isnt gonna do **** with him

i hope they start brandon browner and he brings that same edge that made Seattles DBs special...

two different teams but still

yeah. only concern with browner is he relies heavily on being physical. this year with all the peyton manning penalties on DBs that they've been calling, could be tough. he should be a huge asset against pass catching TEs though that we've got to deal with in coming weeks (Amaro, Bennett, Julius)

LOL @ bringing up the Knicks. I knew that would bother you.

Eager to see their fav. team fail? Not sure how you reached that conclusion, but okay.

I guess if holding people accountable for their mistakes makes me less of a fan...then I'll be that.

I've never taken their run for granted. What they've been able to do for damn near 15 years is pretty impressive. But the fact remains it's been a decade since their last SB win and they've let great opportunities slip along the way. They are running out of time with the current QB. I'm not down with handing out free passes. *shrugs*

The video/audio of his comments during post-game makes it even better. Check that out too. Dude sounded like a pure frat boy ready to cry for his QB.

That's the closest we've had to Terrell Owens on Romo.

Browner BIKE.

Not your prototypical CB and definitely against the grain of Belichick's usual ****** DB's. He has a lot to overcome now with the new rules (HUGE for him), new system, coming off a 4 game suspension so I don't expect to see magic in one day. I hope it eventually works out though because we're probably gonna need him in a potential showdown with Denver in the playoffs.

Tyms activated too. Gotta see if he's even incorporated into the gameplan before I get excited.

Even if you're a fake loser Pats fan like myself, you can appreciate this vid of the team in the locker room. Y'all gotta peep...

Just goes to show how much this win meant with all the BS surrounding them.

^ nice video. love seeing that stuff :pimp:

and cosign on the Gronk audio. dude sounds like he was legit hurt by people dogging his QB. the "...after you guys criticized him all week" part got me

^ agreed on Jackie

Bedard was on today and retracted his prior statement about the playbook being opened up. says they're still running pretty vanilla. BUT he stresses this is in no way connected with Mort's report about Brady being phased out. it's simply because of the rest of the offense (line, WRs) trying to get up to speed. he also stressed that Mort's report on Brady likely being out sooner rather than later seems exaggerated. all that said, we will face the situation of brady v jimmy at some point, just not as soon as people make it seem.

with the first part in mind, this offense should only improve as we progress and as we can run deeper into our playbook.

love getting Bedard's insight. it's free of all the ******** that talking heads create...all that drama and spinning. you get actual insight.
