Creed (Film Series) | Creed III | 3/3/23

The Hail Mary intro was tough but i liked Conlans character intro more cause of the overall theatrics. From the fire spitting dude in the pitch black to the Undertaker esque smoke

Plus the lyrics to the song playing into his trash talk of Donnie, which were serious issues for him:

I was worried about the movie not being able to use the classic rocky theme because of how hip hop heavy it is but my god when it came on in the final fight i wanted to stand up and start clapping

a missed opportunity was when creed walks in and rocky was cooking eggs, should have had creed ask for some and rocky gives him a cup of raw eggs

the chickens are slower line was great though

Had no idea Sly wrote the screenplay for 'Rocky' and was nominated for it and as an actor. Man that's awesome.

Who had the better career Arnold or Sly... Movie wise?

They kinda missed on a few things though... like the connection with his step-mom. After he moved to philly, there wasn't a single scene where he called his mom. She wasn't even invited to either of his big fights. Even if she didn't want to go, there should have been a scene of her telling him shes still in his corner. Or maybe I missed it...

Idk thats just my feelings from a convo I had with the chick I went with...

movie wise i would go with sly purely because rocky is more iconic than anything arnold has ever done and a top 5 movie character ever

but if I had to pick one of these dudes in his prime to be in an action movie its arnold 8/8 times

predator, true lies, terminator, commando, last action hero are all classics

^ he had a scene where he called..

Thought it was going be the mom at the door when they were in England though Or thought rocky might make the call and ask for permission.. Or call telling her about the cancer and then her telling him he had to fight which would spring into him getting Donnie out of jail

I was convinced he would ask what's for breakfast or reach for a plate and then rocky would hand him a glass and crack 3 eggs into it

The biggest miss, to me.. Was not having a scene with rocky and the mom

Rocky could talk about his guilt in that finally fight.. Him dealing with apollo's death.. His fear with putting donnie in the ring

Then that would make the scene in the corner during the final, round that much more powerful

I feel like sich a scene would have been a waste and unrealistic. They already established Rocky hadn't reached out to her since Apollo's funeral. So Rocky's guilt was already established.

As for Adonis not reaching out to her, it made sense because this was a journey thathe had to do on his own. He already knew her position on him boxing so us watching a scene of fhe two fighting over the phone would have been redundant.

I'm assuming the mom & Rocky conversed at some point and that's how the trunks & note were delivered.

While that may be true.. It could have been one of those thing were they just grew apart and didn't want to bring up bad memories of what happened

Donnie would have been that common ground that got them back together.. And I don't mean I scene of her and rocky fighting, just him getting her blessing and admitting his fear with everything

Could be closure for both of them.. And embracing that it's Dannie's life and if that's what he truly wants to do, then they should support him

could be saving it for the next movie

might be the reason they kept her in LA for the final fight, so they never run into each other

Oooooooooooooo yea, I forgot about that. Man that was a great entrance. Both were great, again, I had chills man.

What connection with his stepmom? Just because she sent him some trunks and watched his last fight on TV? She told him not to call her so they obviously weren't that close.

Just my opinion. I think that stuff you suggested wasn't in there because they were never that tight. That's why after the fight they never showed her again and she didn't call him or anything.
