NT, Do I Have A Case??? Vol. Unlawful Termination?

...no but seriously, OP: if you think your behavior was warranted or appropriate, please start re-considering everything you believe to be true.  Glad you got your unemployment, but you need to do some serious soul searching if you think you handled that properly.

ehh...i don't really think i handled it properly, but i treat people with the same respect they treat me with...if you yell at me, imma yell back at you, simple...i don't care if we in the work place, a bar, or the beach...only exception in my mom, and the cops...i've had plenty of jobs and none of my bosses have ever yelled at me or stepped into my face...

Doesn't matter.  By now you should have the maturity and wisdom to realize that fighting with your boss is like fighting with the cops.  It's gonna get you nowhere fast.  Don't like how things are handled at your place of employment? Either discuss it in a civil fashion, suck it up, or put in your two weeks and keep it moving.  Anyone older than a high school senior should know better than to act as foolishly as you did.

does matter...if you curl in a ball while somebody's talking down on you, they'll do it every time...jobs aren't impossible to come across...maybe difficult, but not impossible...i'd rather all these things that are happening now to happen, then sit and yes sir somebody that's cussing and running up on me...if that's cool with you, than whatever, but nobody is ever gonna disrespect me as a man...anyone older than a high school senior should at least have some type of principles...

I do have principles.  One of those principles is to never burn my bridges or leave on a sour note.  If you took it on the chin and handled it like a mature adult you could have gotten a good reference to help you get another job in the future.  Too bad your ego and temper prevented that from becoming a reality.

i already have good references...plus, i'm not really trying to work any more 9-5's

if somebody throws explicits and try's to intimidate you and you decide to "take it on the chin", good for you, i guess...i guess you could consider yourself a better man than me...but that's never gonna fly this direction...

let's just agree to disagree...we were probably just raised differently...

Can you explain this a little? I worked in California but the job headquarters are stationed in Georgia.

At-will employment is essentially the standard in hiring practices for businesses in the U.S. Without getting too technical, it basically means that if a company hires you without a specified duration of employment predetermined in your contract, they can hire/fire you whenever they like, however they like, and with or without reasoning.

I checked for you. California is an At-Will employment state. I tried telling you before, but now I'm telling you for certain: You will NOT win any legal case in an American court of law. Your previous employer will point to this statute and laugh in your face. All of the actions they took are LEGAL, unless you have a specified duration in writing that was signed by a representative of the company (which I highly doubt.)

Good luck OP.

I feel sorry for dudes next employer, he  is a walking *****hh fit

OP is wack af! you never gonna be successful popping off and acting like a child, this thread is a joke! i would have fired your *** as soon as you threw your badge, he was probably testing you to see how you could handle more, if you would have just manned up and took it on, you may have got a raise or gained a little respect, you have to EARN respect in the work world my friend. good luck with your unemployment benefits.

anyone that read this thread need to realize the nt world is not real world before they post

most nters spent years of being on the computer all day and don't know what's going on or when they are being punked

some of these memberships are made for other reasons like derailing threads or making threads no one cares/interested about

most of these dudes have probably never been in a situation where they had to stand up for themselves...dudes will let their boss spit on them as long as they can get a paycheck at the end of the week...might as well be prostitutes if they're gonna be so shameless...

im shocked that if you put most of these nters around people that are looking for trouble, nters would start holding pockets instead of fighting back

I love how you keep trying to justify your actions, anyone who is a good employee is essentially a little kiss up to their boss but the reality is most good employees actually get along with their bosses because they are good at their jobs

Unless you change your attitude; it's just gonna be a repeat cycle for you in life

Real talk, this belongs in the Fools Wilding thread. Never have I seen someone brag about being fired and having no job.

And as for your boss, you sure showed him.
