BLACKFISH.... 2013 Documentary. Critic: "Scariest Movie of the Year!!!" 97% on RT.

Yeah I'm not shocked at all a freakin whale held in captivity and trained by people occasionally goes a bit "wild" since, yanno its a wild animal after all smh

Just saw it last night with my girl. Pretty mind-blowing how smart orcas are.

And it's foolish to compare eating burgers and SeaWorld, totally different. Cow and chicken are slaughtered for food, to sustain us, which is a legitimate reason, but these intelligent animals (they observe and have emotions and are problem-solvers) are imprisoned in terrible conditions, eventually driving them crazy. :rolleyes

:wow: at that trainer that kept getting dragged underwater by the foot by I think Tilly. Dude kept his calm. I would have lost it. It literally was just playing with him, and I'm sure they've figured out by now that humans can't hold their breath as long as them.

watched it last nite on CNN ... it left quite an impression ... I feel like Any caged animal .. no matter how good they say they are treating them or 'preserving' them from endangerment has some really big downfalls ...

i'd say just let them all be ... if you wanna see em .. go to where They Live ... grab a boat if u wanna see some orcas ... if u need to see a lion .. go to africa ...

it just needs to stop .... ... but considering all the money they making ... this will never end..... :smh:

Flamesuit equipped. But I don't see how people get up in arms over seeing another animal killed. All death is terrible. But to say its any different in the end game than eating at your favorite restaurant is laughable.

I had two people who I consider "work friends" talking about how they saw The Cove and that they couldn't believe people would do that to an intelligent animal. Who judges what an intelligent animal is? Are we? We claim it. They then went to the lunch room and ate chicken strips and and a hamburger. It seems to me that if its out of sight its out of mind for most people. But don't act high and mighty when someone makes it look pretty in a documentary.

Do I think its ok to do this? No. But I also eat a steak every once in a while and last I check NT wasn't all PETA members.

/End Rant.
You know dolphin meat contains toxic chemicals right? Why kill an animal if you can't eat it?

I'm watching it now and I cannot imagine how Sea World is still in operation to this day.

^ what channel?
CNN is what it aired on on the 24th so probably there again.

Watched it last night.  It was a good doc.  Feel bad for those animals, especially Tilikum.

The wife and I don't mess with establishments that have captive Whales and Dolphins now (before this doc even).

Same here. Documentary exposed the truth a lot of people had been trying to shed for a while. Good on CNN for airing some real reporting and investigating about a serious topic instead of just reciting popular tweets in front of a camera.

What did everyone expect was going down over there?

Y'all thought those ******g whales swam there themselves?

Disney money is so long, they could have an empty park at Seaworld for the next 50 years and still net a profit. It's disgusting, but I'm still going to apply for a job there.

Saddest part of the doc was the fins on the orcas in captivity. Not 1 was upright like the ones found in the ocean. U can tell they are depressed.

BLACKFISH HAD A HUGE IMPACT
