The Ultimate Football Thread 2013-2014 Vol. 4 EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A etc

Not to mention that OLY had a few good chances... it was just the finishing that let them down.  The next round of teams won't do that.

De Gea on that double save.....wow....that was insane.

Can't wait for the Draw. I just don't want to see any same league match ups...miss me with Real vs Athletico or Man U vs Chelsea bayern vs dortmund

I wouldnt mind seeing my Chelsea get Barca in the next round. Would like to see what excuses Barca fans have again when Messi fails to score against us again. What is it 12 matches against us and he has yet to do anything

I think the front runners for this year's CL are Bayern & Real, followed by PSG, & the dark horse would be Chelsea.

PSG is not a sure front runner only because they don't have much experience in getting deep into the CL collectively.

Chelsea is a dark horse because they don't have dependable goal scoring/offense. The Blues have a stout defense, but the offense is feast or famine.

This is about where I thought Barca would be. I'm happy the team made it to this point so anything else is gravy. Defensively, Barca just doesn't have it to make a run for the CL not with oompa loompas like Masch & Pique back there.

Barca has the type of players offensively to carry the load & the CL experience but it hasn't been consistent enough. We'll see.

Noooo...

???

Were they hacked?

Did they jump the gun?

Imagine if the "draw" tomorrow really did result in those matchups...

He's done wonders at Arsenal. Had the only team in the world who could play on that tiny pitch, and had anyone who came to Highbury scared to go there. I hated every single moment of that 03-04 season, cause they simply could do no wrong. As a United fan I would play Arsenal and Wenger down to Henry, Bergkamp and a tiny pitch, but really as a fan of football, to this day I'm still amazed at how incredible they were under Wenger.
