I don't like the soccer word either but I guess I could change it
Not getting on y'all at all but the term soccer is actually from England, and predates the game being called "football" by several years...Americans didn't just come up w/ it

Obviously now its known as that around the world in multiple languages but we have a reason for that here with the nfl being so engrained in our culture. Some things Americans just aren't gonna say the same, like I don't mind at all if announcers call the "pitch" a soccer field

The dislike for the word soccer by American fans is one of the my favorite ironies in sport.

Brits need to be able differentiate between association football and other forms of football which all dwarf soccer in terms of popularity at the time, they come up with soccer.

Americans need a way to differentiate between association football and American football/rugby football which both dwarf soccer in terms of popularity at the time.

They logically adopt the term soccer from the Brits. A century later soccer is wrong in certain circles.

You don't tell an Italian it's football and not calico,  it's all %100 interchangeable, neither is right or wrong.

This is really my first year of following football like I do my other sports and I am very excited for the year to get underway! Gonna be watching a ton of football besides the Chelsea games :smokin

So how do they fill the in-field dirt area with grass?  How do they make it flat and even?

See for yourself. Lol caught this reply while I was still in the stadium. I forgot baseball was still going on, don't pay attention to it so I forgot when I got there. View media item 520482View media item 520483

Im gonna try very hard this yr to watch more games outside of England and Spain..

Btw I just got tickets for the Germany Paraguay game here in Germay

damn you live in Germany??? That is awesome man

The tickets for the tournament are too damn much for glorified exhibition games IMO. Tickets at Dodger stadium started at like $60 $108 :smh:

I'm just gonna wait till I'm back in Europe during the season and catch as many EPL, La Liga, and/or Bundesliga matches as I can :pimp: :pimp:
