Mark has thrown a pick 6, almost threw another one and threw a TD. Geno hasn't seen the field.

Mark's night done... aside from his pick 6... he finished off well... 5/5 in his last drive for a TD.
10/13 and 135 for the night.
some notes: though Austin was a good find to put in the RT position last yr... he's been looking shaky this game.
Clyde Gates was a non factor last yr, but with Marty's short precise, quick routes... he's gonna make a difference because of his speed. So is Kerley.
that front line is gonna beast - Coples and Wilkerson.

Hopefully geno plays well. Glad to hear Sanchez played well but stupid turnovers, pick 6's and so sum up the Sanchez era to me. Ill give him credit for rebounding but on a short leash like he is to throw a pick 6 off the bat is a bad look.

Forgot to mention, dude almost got another pick on a bad screen to Winslow. That woulda changed this game HUGE if he got the pick.
Winslow (if healthy) will be a big playmaker for us. Hopefully he can revamp his career here a-la LaRon Landry.

Sanchez had a pretty good night (besides the pick 6 of course.) Seems they were playing it safe with Geno.

Besides a pick 6 from Sanchez, Geno getting hurt, the O-Line committing **** loads of penalties, having no running game and Sanchez looking like an 80's porn star. We finally scored an offensive touchdown in a Pre-Season game since 2011 so it is the little things that count.......

Geno seems to be ok but they will re-evaluate this week and if he misses practice time, he may not go vs Jacksonville.
John Griffin is out for the year with his injury last night.
And lastly, with all the good and bad with Sanchez last night, that was probably the first time in 5 years that we saw some sort of a long passing game from him (Granted, not much but already a better start then last year.) He is a turnover prone QB, some just need to accept it already. Does not mean he will be the starter of this team or a ELITE QB, but he still finished with an over 90 QB rating last night (the whole QB crew did to be exact) It is only pre-season but compared to last years, they did more offensively in one game compared to the WHOLE pre-season last season.
Marty will be a big key to this team as O-Coordinator. 3rd and Long and they passed from the Shotgun, what a concept. there was even a 5 wide out set last night with the first team. He spread the Wideouts out and opened the field. Mark just needs to already look around the field and not settle for the screen pass. He had more time last night but the O-Line committed way too many stupid penalties for the first team. Even in a Pre-Season game. But you have to be somewhat optimistic that the first team O-Line looked solid protecting Mark and Geno (Yes Austin Howard was Shaky. remember, he was probably their best O-Lineman last year with Brick having an off year and Mangold being/battling injuries most of the year.) He probably is the weak link to a line that greatly improved this off-season from how awful it really was last year.)
