2013 NY JETS OFF-SEASON THREAD 8-8 ..12 Picks ...

Ebron in the draft and Maclin in free agency would be nice..

Cutting Holmes also frees up $8 mil in cap room.

I can't be the only one not so high on drafting a TE in the first round even someone with Ebron's skill set. We can use one of our 3rd round picks on a TE who runs decent routes and can block as well.

Mac9 is announcing a 2-yr deal with Philly next week.

Troy Niklas if you don't go Amaro or ASJ in R2.

I'd rather us go after Sanders or Nicks. We need to draft O-Line SO BAD. Winters is pure trash. Isn't Brandon Pettegrew on the market? If so I think he'd be a guy that could most def be a REAL recieving threat for us.

he is.

and even Dustin Keller again. lol

Remember those days when we had 4 1st round picks on our O-Line. O-Line was the LEAST of our problems.

Jets have to lock up Wilkerson this offseason, interesting to see if they pay Folk too.

New York Jets defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson wants a pay raise, but has no designs on holding out to obtain a contract extension.

"It will be taken care of, definitely. But all that holdout and all that other talk that people were saying and everything -- I never said anything like that. I'm not going to hold out," Wilkerson told Metro New York's Kristian Dyer on Saturday. "It's not something I want; it's not something I'm thinking about. I'm going to show up like everybody else and do what I'm told."

Wilkerson was responding to ponderings earlier in the week that he and the Jets could be headed toward a collision course, much like ex-Jet Darrelle Revis' highly publicized holdout.

The 24-year-old lineman is entering the fourth and final year of his rookie contract -- the first group on the rookie pay scale -- and is primed for a pay raise.

Wilkerson helped lead one of the stoutest fronts in the NFL, along with Defensive Rookie of the Year winner Sheldon Richardson and Damon "Snacks" Harrison.

No significant contract talks have taken place, sources told Dyer. For his part, Wilkerson isn't fretting about the future.

"Like I tell everybody, that's what I got an agent for. I feel I've got a damn good one. They're going to discuss with John (GM John Idzik) and them and I think they're going to work something out," Wilkerson said. "I have faith in them. At the end of the day, I want to be a Jet for life. I think I will be so I'm going to let everything take care of itself. Everything will fall into place; everything happens for a reason. I'm just sitting here waiting."

Good guy Mo Wilk :pimp: .

As far as Folk goes, he deserves to be paid, but let's remember: he's a kicker. Can't overpay a player of that position ever IMO.

Jets are reportedly pushing hard for Emmanuel Sanders. Then follow up that signing with a bigger target like Matthews, Moncrief, Coleman, or Bryant in the draft. Also a TE like Ebron, ASJ, Amaro, or Niklas.

Don't know how I feel about Sanders, jets have to upgrade the WR position but Sanders is probably out for #1 money and he's not a #1.

Nicks wants a long term deal with big money. That was his problem last year and he pouted.

I don/t want Sanders. Remember the Steelers are a smart franchise, there's a reason they let players go. We know that first hand with Holmes

@CRO31: I would like 2 thank the Jets organization so much with helpin me grow as leader and a player. S/O 2 my teammates I wish u guys the best.

@CRO31: I would also like to give a big up to The Jets Fan base. Thank you for all the support thru my 4 yr career with you. Thank you again.

@CRO31: It's time for a new chapter in my life and now it's time to let my lord and savior lead my steps every step of the way.

Cro had his moments of great play for us, especially when Revis went down. He really stepped it up.

Not much to say about him other than his times of undisciplined-play. Maybe he'll come back on reduced play? If not, time to move on and hopefully sign Verner from Tenn.
