Preachers Of LA: Preachers Living Lavishly [Reality TV Trailer]

naw bra Ive seen first hand these pastors have regular jobs..the church I went to in Cleveland one of the pastors' worked as a park ranger during the week and still made wednesday Bible study and every other church function

I feel you, my brother used to attend this cheap baptist church, and the pastor was rolling around in some old vehicle.. There's just different levels to the game I suppose.. I've met some really cool dude's that are preachers..

I'm not religious, and the church I went to when I was little was straight up fraud.

I don't really Se a problem. You can't put a price on hope. If one of them changes someone's life. They deserve the money. I feel like that's their job.

These frauds put a price on it though. A house on the hills and a ferrari. What the **** are they a bishop of? Who grants these titles?

Reminds me of an article I saw about this preacher in Texas emailing his congregation for money to fix his helicopter fixed (need 50k new blades)

Basically saying If you donate money you will get a blessing from god

skip to 1:32

His church has an aviation department...

Pimp hand too strong :pimp:

Man nothin is cool about that..I'm no saint but one thing I won't ever do is play with the Lord

There's 2 ways to look at this. On one hand, if they're diligent to their work and they are successful, who's to say they shouldn't live the life that they want to live. Also it could serve as a testimony that extravagant lifestyle are possible and dreams are attainable... But on the other hand, I'm sure many would prefer to see a pastor living a more modest life, as to appear grounded and humble. You would think that a pastor would want to contribute the fortunes to the needy members of the congregation, or donate to starving children across the world instead of buying a new aventador. An excessively flamboyant lifestyle does show glimpses of pride and arrogance, in my opinion. At the end of the day they're human and we cant force them to conform to our ideals of how a pastor should live. If they earn the money legitimately, it's theirs to spend.

Reminds me of a story that my friend told me about a pastor of a fairly large church here in Alabama. The church is very well known in the city, as is the pastor. One day he was car shopping with someone and a Honda Accord caught his eye. The person that he was with basically scoffed at the modest selection and said something to the effect of "You're a big time pastor, you need to be driving something like this..." and gestured towards a new 7 series. The pastor responded "As a pastor, how would I look pulling up in an $80,000 car, and I've got people in my congregation that can't pay their light bill." I gained tons of respect for him after hearing that. The church is in a low i come neighborhood also.

The grey area is basically whether you consider a church a business or not.

This show is a slap in the face to their churches.."look at me im in a Ferrari thanks sister Johnson for the building fund"...

Disgusting. Its stories like this that make me cynical towards giving to charity or my religious establishment. If I donated money to my mosque, and saw the mosque leader rolling around in a Ferari I'd be out for blood

The Church has BECOME a business.

It may not be ALL of them but there's ENOUGH of them in existence.

Anytime a church is dealing with the W-2 forms of it's parishioners (

Most pastors are paid because they dedicate their life to preaching. Meaning that this is their only form of income. In my opinion its sad when a preacher has to have a side job to make money. Think about it. If you have church service Tue,Thurs, sat, sun when could you work ? With preparing the sermon and the hours. . .
ok and most pimps are paid thru their stable being on track, most dope boys get paid thru the dope they sell.....And it is sad when you have a self-employed business and have to work a side job. Really shows how inadequate and poor of a job your doing.... At least with the aforementioned its all on you and there isn't a safety net or subsidized guaranteed source of income. With pimpi.... I mean preaching you have a cushion and safety net in promised/guaranteed money from the government and its up to them to be able to take that money and flip it and make it work for you.

Season 2 though.
I thought these brothers would be shunned off TV. Whose still attending these Churches.

Recent story in a a Mega Church in Texas.
Someone robbed the tithes safe after a Wednesday service, 175k in CASH was taken! Cash y'all, I'd assume 60-80% off that haul was in checks and useless. 175k CASH after a Wednesday service( Holy ****) pun intended
