If God doesn't Exist Explain To Me How This Happened By Chance

if we take the oldest, most primitive living unicellular organism......how did it become an self-sustainable living entity? yes, under certain conditions, it is possible to create organic molecules from inorganic matter as proven by Lamarck (i think), however, there needs to be some sort of design in order to create the living unit. I can't see how billions of years in random collisions of inorganic and organic molecules would result in a functional cellular organism because for that, you need some type of framework or order. However, the 2nd law of thermodynamics states that the universe is constantly moving towards increased entropy or randomness. I don't believe that living cells are like legos where if you put all the necessary pieces together, it suddenly starts to "live."This is the disconnect for me with the whole "Primordial Soup Theory."

Well put sir.

Ok since were off topic now I just wanted to post this quote by Ann Druyan. The wife of the late Carl Sagan.

“When my husband died, because he was so famous & known for not being a believer, many people would come up to me — it still sometimes happens — & ask me if Carl changed at the end & converted to a belief in an afterlife. They also frequently ask me if I think I will see him again. Carl faced his death with unflagging courage & never sought refuge in illusions. The tragedy was that we knew we would never see each other again. I don’t ever expect to be reunited with Carl. But, the great thing is that when we were together, for nearly twenty years, we lived with a vivid appreciation of how brief & precious life is. We never trivialized the meaning of death by pretending it was anything other than a final parting. Every single moment that we were alive & we were together was miraculous — not miraculous in the sense of inexplicable or supernatural. We knew we were beneficiaries of chance… That pure chance could be so generous & so kind… That we could find each other, as Carl wrote so beautifully in Cosmos, you know, in the vastness of space & the immensity of time… That we could be together for twenty years. That is something which sustains me & it’s much more meaningful… The way he treated me & the way I treated him, the way we took care of each other & our family, while he lived. That is so much more important than the idea I will see him someday. I don’t think I’ll ever see Carl again. But I saw him. We saw each other. We found each other in the cosmos, and that was wonderful.“

I know they were both well known atheist but when she brings up the idea of chance it really gets me thinking...

So thats who you look up to.
Everyone has a God whether they believe in Jesus or are Atheist.
On NT there is the Church of Michael Jordan, Hova, LeBron, Kanye West, Self image, and sex. All creations. Funny how just like in the old testament we still worship other creations. That is why we created Kings, emperors and man made statutes to bow down to.

Can someone explain to me how various sects of Christianity are different from Scientology? Why does Scientology get such a bad rap--both are just based on books that some other dudes wrote, right?

At least the body count from Scientology is way less than the body count from Christianity

i dont think its about "looking up" to someone. dude just has an opinion of our origins. NO ONE knows for sure if there is/isnt a god. its a personal belief at the end of the day. i just find it funny how ppl who are into religion judge those who dont share the same beliefs where in the BIBLE it says not to judge. ive heard a christian tell me jehovah witnesses are wrong and "stupid" lol its actually crazy to me. religion is and will always be a sticky situation. i dont believe in a white jesus, I believe jesus would have looked arabic with curly hair(also been told thats not true but w/e) im not smart when it comes to religion so i choose not too and follow my own faith.

p.s

also heard stories of some who believe the sun is our higher energy since it send soff rays of energy that cant be seen which can alter a persons behavior but thats just stuff ive heard

Most people are born traditional Christians, so they never even had the ability to not believe.. From birth they were indoctrinated to what their beliefs will be. People are here to explore, figure things out for themselves, not be told something is something and roll with it because its easier to swallow.

i never said thats who I look up to... i just said read his books if your interested in annunaki origins etc...

the bible is just a book , not the first of its kind ever created just the most recent...

OP, you are basically saying that just because the human body is complex, we had to have been created by god. The lack of evidence there is so vast, it's laughable.

Human beings make things that are just as complex, I guess I'm a God as well. There's something very primitive about this way of thinking.

As for religion dividing people. What DOESN'T divide people?

Religion should be held to a higher standard. And religion is by far the most effective tool of control and hate ever invented by man. It is easy to make people believe and do irrational things when you tell them it's magic.

i wonder if there are "aliens" out there do they believe in the same god we do.
we meet them and they like "who is this god u speak of"
i really think prometheus wasnt far off, after that i was watching youtube videos of annunaki's and ish lol

But the aliens might be the gods we speak of. Chariots of Fire, b.

Ok, at the beginning what do you think came first; matter or thought?

I settled on matter.

The question of where the matter came from is still up in the air. Where did the first matter and antimatter spring from?

Did our existence happen from an event in another universe/dimension? Where did that one come from? Is it possible things always just have been? Is there no origin?

My brain hurts, b.

Some are as quick to insert "God" as it pertains to the origins of us as they are to ignore the mystery of the origin of "God." It seems like a lazy concept.
duh, god existed before "god" existed.

Science proves sperm fertilizes an egg, thus bringing life into this world. But, religion says...no no no, GOD impregnated a virgin.

I'm with cuban ref..."believe" in something greater than us...just leave religion out of it.
