Type of movie you see solo in my opinion

Saw this a couple of weeks ago and thought it was great. There are just so many themes that could be dissected in this movie. The thing that it initially made me think about was what if people could find love strictly on personality, without ego involved.  It makes you see first hand how physical attraction isn't nearly as deep and fulfilling as emotional attraction. It also made me kind of appreciate my past relationships, good and bad, because those relationships obviously make you grow as a person.

And I can't be the only one who thinks Rooney Mara in the movie looks like a skinnier Emilia Clarke.
 
I loved this movie man.

Loved the aesthetics of the film. From the futuristic La, to the interior design, to wardrobe.

Rooney Mara is a cutie, never knew about her.

So was amy adams.

Olivia Wilde's sexy as.

If you are going with a girl take a girl you don't care about. Because I feel like if you take someone you cars about you'll both end up thinking of that OTHER PERSO and you'll each know the other is doing it and it will be hella awkward or start a fight. The girl I took and I didn't even discuss the movie at all. And I had to drive 30 min in complete silence lol

Just saw this last night. I thought the movie was really fascinating, I loved every second of it. Great acting all around -- not to mention the cinematography was incredible. Some of the shots Spike had (the dust at the end, most notably) were really good. On top of all that, the music was spot on in every scene it was included in.



(Sidenote: I need to cop that light red cardigan Joaquin was wearing in the movie, joint was too fresh lol. Matter of fact all of the outfits were really on point)

the cinematography was so dope. the scenery really brought out the mood of the movie. 

i saw the movie a few days ago and really got into my feels about my ex...no simping though just how you get caught in remembering how it was and how it felt. 

i didnt really like the ending though 
like where the hell did the OS go?
is it a metaphor that just cause you think you know someone they can turn around and be gone. 

like they fall in love with someone else? 
 
LoveHateSelf - The OS' went to another level of consciousness that humans couldn't reach, they weren't limited by the physical world.

Going to get high and watch this illuminating example of cinema once more.

That scene on the beach where Samanatha plays the piano piece is one of the most beautiful scenes I've seen in film.

It's more of a metaphor for how relationships can end when you have one person who is constantly growing and one person who remains stagnant. It's not about falling out of love but in order for that person to keep growing (Samantha) they have to let the other go.

Theodore is in a pretty bad place during the movie. He's still suffering from the grief of his marriage falling apart before and even during his relationship with Samantha and that prevents him from growing and being truly happy. Peep his line in the movie, "Sometimes, i think i have felt everything i'm ever gonna feel and from here on out im not gonna feel anything new."

The relationship with Sam, in the end, is very healing for Theodore and he has a very cathartic moment after Samanatha leaves him. There's a look on his face the next morning that expresses so much, sadness/melancholy but also a bit of relief and he can smile about it. He writes his goodbye letter to Catherine and is finally able to let her go and move on with his life.

Fantastic movie

My man got his avi as the poster! yuuuhllee!! Just watched the movie last night....want to watch it again honestly just to enjoy it lol. Like when I first watch movies I dissect as much as I can being an aspiring film writer myself...now i'll get to just sit back and enjoy

Yea, we watched the film a few months ago and I was Blown away! Typically I wouldn't watch a movie like this unless we were completely bored. I took a chance via Netflix because I saw Phoenix in another film earlier last year and was like, dude is an Amazing actor...gotta see more of his movies. The whole "BeeEs about him not being as good of an actor as his late brother" is madd false! Easily one of the best films made in a very long time. It made me look at my 'ship with my Lady a little different, for the better.
