Fast and Furious Thread: Hobbs and Shaw Spin Off 2019 - Tyrese career ending injury

The thing that sticks out about 6 that I didn't like was that Giselle had died and not a word of her was mentioned at the table when the movie ended.

Small detail that rubbed me the wrong way.

I'll rewatch 6 sometime. Only watched it once.

As of now, I'd rate it 5, 7 then 6.

you seem to hate on these movies but aren't picking up on a lot of things

In fairness, he said he'd only seen it once. He might pick up on some things with a second viewing.

Ah, but here's the thing. Just because I disagree with you doesn't mean I'm hating. I wouldn't be in this thread as much as I am if I hated FF

honestly its a forgettable movie which is why I'm gonna watch it again and pay attention and see if i like it.

Just went back and watched Fast 4. What're your guys thoughts on it?

Transition film. They were still in between wanting to be racing films, and heist films.

Elevated the "drama" of the franchise with Letty's death, gave it more purpose than the others.

Also had the setup for their life on the run with Dom's sentence, and Brian/Mia going to get him out.

It's not as good as the last 3, but it was important because it brought everyone back, including Han.

I didn't even notice that Dom stomped the ground after the great "the streets always wins" line.

Amazing,

Worst movie ever. I enjoyed all the other ones but this was straight up nonsense. Lack luster acting with horrible one liners. I fell sleep 3 times and left early. I would recommend people watch this online for free.
this made me laugh

Went back and watched Fast 4.  It was the start of this current direction, as well as the glue for putting together the first three and what came after.   With Eva Mendes rumored for Fast 8 I wondered how they would mix in the whole Brian/Mia thing along side Eva.  In Fast 4 Brian didnt see Mia for 5 years.  Soooooo everything is all good there Lol.

Good flick.  With Brian/Mia retired, and Han and his lady offed the crew looks thin.  Even with Ramsey

they gotta get more of their peoples back in.  Im sure that has been said already in this thread =)

I find it absolutely amazing that anyone found Tokyo drift anything less than cringe worthy. Bow Wow? Seriously?? not to mention a cowboy that looks like Steve O learning how to drift in Tokyo  I don't even consider that apart of the series until they incorporated in later to fit the reboot. Thought it was common knowledge Vin and Paul were done with the series at the time it came out. Besides Vins 2 second cameo in which they added in the trailer to promote the movie where he wasn't actually even in. I'm sorry, if you liked TD that's your opinion, but there is no way I will ever believe you aren't trolling by saying this. Unless you are 18 and under.

I'm also on board with them ending the series now. Love this series so much but going on without Paul Walker is just silly. Time to hang it up and end it on that tribute. Any other movie is just a money grab in my opinion. But honestly who wouldn't keep making these movies with the amount of $$ they pull in. Even with all that said, I plan to see fast 8 but I think it should be ended now.

Yeah regardless of how much you like cars/racing etc I just don't see how someone can possibly legitimately enjoy Tokyo Drift as a movie

All yall slandering TD gonna get a fade

but seriously the movie was pretty good.....originally it wasn't but on the rewatch years later I enjoy it for what it is

I'm sayin. Tokyo Drift ain't bad at all. I actually found it entertaining and always catch myself watching it when it's on TV.

Movie kind of made me wanna pack my bags and visit Japan some day tbh.

Watched this last night, and it was so outrageous, over the top and [literally] unbelievable, and I could not have asked for anything else to close this franchise  almost 2 and a half hours of pure action, violence, women and some comedy thrown in. If you went into this movie expecting things to make sense, L taken  the Rock was basically Superman, Terminator, and T1000 all rolled into one. He should've died like 3 times, but who cares. This was a great close to this type of franchise.

I'll lose it if there's a straight to DVD Fast 8 with Tyga and Trey Songz replacing Ludacris and Tyrese.

And yes, Tokyo Drift was very underwhelming, but the tie-in during Furious 7 made me

Toretto > Hobbs in terms of unstoppability

He should've died at least 7 times in this one movie alone

If they stopped at 5 it wouldve been best. It was good and not so unrealistic as 6 & 7.

On top of Dom doing his Jim Edmonds impression and catching Letty like he was stealing a homerun, the 100mile airplane runway, flying thru buildings, and catching ahold of a car spoiler before runner off a bus on a cliff. 6/7 was doing the most.

Each movie had their gimme a break moments. But the last two they just didnt give any dambs about reality.
