Fast and Furious Thread: Hobbs and Shaw Spin Off 2019 - Tyrese career ending injury

Agreed @air Thompson.. Still a fan of the first five and I thought Tokyo drift was underrated. One of my favorite of the series... Couldn't stand the last 2 and seen them and wouldn't watch them again.
. Expendable on wheels fits...
and I hate those damn expendable movies...

‘Furious 7′ Becomes Highest-Grossing ‘Fast & Furious’ Sequel In 10 Days – Box Office

Sunday Final update 9:36AM after 6:50AM post: It took Fast & Furious 6 some 15 weeks to accumulate $238.6M in domestic box office during the summer of 2013. By contrast, it will take Furious 7 just 10 days to pass its immediate predecessor as the highest-grossing title in the Fast & Furious franchise.

Universal sees Furious 7 clocking a second weekend of $60.6M at 4,022 theaters, raising the pic’s 10-day domestic cume to $252.5M by end of today. That’s a 59% decline, slightly better than the -64% that FF6 registered in its second sesh.

Last night, Saturday ticket sales spiked 35% spike over Friday’s studio-reported $18.8M, bringing the cume to $236.07M. Furious 7‘s second weekend of $60.6M is the third-best sophomore session for a film playing prior to summer, ranking behind the No. 2 frames of American Sniper ($64.6M) and Alice in Wonderland ($62.7M). Among the all-time best second weekends at the B.O., Furious 7 ranks 12th.

wow crazy that amount of success this movie made.
btw TD storyline was super corny, but the races and cars are the best

Universal is laughing all the way to the bank.

If they stopped at 5 it wouldve been best. It was good and not so unrealistic as 6 & 7.

On top of Dom doing his Jim Edmonds impression and catching Letty like he was stealing a homerun, the 100mile airplane runway, flying thru buildings, and catching ahold of a car spoiler before runner off a bus on a cliff. 6/7 was doing the most.

Each movie had their gimme a break moments. But the last two they just didnt give any dambs about reality.

driving a safe thru the streets of brazil and switching it in a garbage truck is realistic? I agree tho should have ended it at 5. I was watching 6 earlier today and god gina carano's acting was horrible.

Paul and Tyrese should've starred in TD. The movie was decent. My main issue was Lucas Black and Bow Wow. Lucas didn't look like a teenager and is not a very good actor. Bow Wow. Why didn't the 2F2F cast return?

No the safe scene isn't realistic but it's still a lot more believable than some of the stuff in 6 and 7.

I say this as someone who enjoyed 6 and 7, though not as much as 5, and will continue to watch every FF they release

I remember not liking TD after watching it in the movie theatre, but I saw it again a few months ago on TV and its actually a decent movie
To this day I always wondered why they did a 180 with all new cast members in that movie
makes no sense, the first movie made the budget back 7 fold and the second one 3 fold so why switch it up?
Anyone care to explain?

Pretty sure Vin and Paul said they didn't wanna do anymore. Then they rebooted it with the 4th one fast and furious.

Even if Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Ludacris & Tyrese are replaced by Nick Cannon, Ryan Reynolds, Tyga & Chris Brown?

Ok you got me there

Given the success of the last 3 movies I don't see any of the cast being replaced esp with ridiculous choices like those

the next ff movie has to go back to the streets. And create a rival team who's leader, later goes to join the family...something like that would be dope.

lol @ anyone watching Nick Cannon star in another movie.

Vin left after 1, thinkin he would be a big star.
Paul did 2, but didn't see much of a future thereafter.

Justin Lin got TD and went with a seperate direction to sort of "reboot" the franchise. While he was there he came up with sort of a plan going forward. He called Vin, asked him to come out.
Vin liked his ideas and the cameo was put in.

Vin back, landed Paul, Michelle etc for 4.

And the franchise was reborn.

Justin Lin deserves all the credit for where they are right now.
