Fast and Furious Thread: Hobbs and Shaw Spin Off 2019 - Tyrese career ending injury

Just got back from watching it.

It was corny, cheesy, action packed - everything F&F embodies.

I was most curious about the ending ... That ending .. man that ending. So beautifully done. Would not have done it any other way.

threw my **** into paddle shifter mode after watching.

and jasmine ... cot dayum.

listening to see you again right now ...

**** :frown:

Tokyo Drift is legit my favorite or 2nd favorite out of the whole series..

Gotta watch em all again to see if it isnt but I really loved all of the driving scenes in it

He wasn't in the 2nd one.

Ludacris has an interview where they asked about him getting on the series, and he said he probably wouldn't have even been brought on if Ja Rule didn't turn down the offer for 2f2f.

Ja Rule turning down like $500,000 for 2F2F because he wanted to concentrate on serious roles...

you know like Half Past Dead, Scary Movie 3, the Cookout

The scene she was in for 7 was just a cut from the actual TD wasn't it? Then they filmed a new scene with Lucas talkin to Dom.

Correct. The quality dropped drastically when they showed the TD scenes, looked outta place.

it looked and played out exactly the same as it was shown in TD. its the same scene cut into the new movie.

Damn, so that wasn't todays Bow Wow? They did a pretty good job making that scene happen. The race was the only thing missing from that scene, and it was definitely needed.

My boy hit her up on IG and asked her last year, when Lucas was cast, if she was gonna be in F7 and she just said no

She's too busy being topless and getting her freak on at Burning Man festivals.

Naw, you could tell that was the og cut, just like when they used Han's death scene at the end of 6, then added in the piece with Statham.

Pretty cool that Furious 7 went to Peter Jackson's Weta Digital company for help in CGI-ing Paul which is fitting because who better than Peter Jackson.

Losing Paul Walker halfway through the production of Furious 7 left the movie’s filmmakers in a very tough spot. Not only was this emotionally devastating, but Walker was a major player in the franchise, and his presence was crucial. This is when groundbreaking special effects came in, courtesy of Peter Jackson, filmmaker of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings and the founder of Weta Digital.

The company used cutting edge techniques in addition to employing Walker’s brothers as physical stunt doubles and stand-ins. Weta didn’t provide specifics on what kind of work they did on Furious 7, but their technology served to bring Walker back to life for one last ride.
