Actually, 7 is the start of the new trilogy. Justin Lin spoke about the last trilogy began with Fast and Furious (4), F5 and then FF6.

Yeah you're right. I was starting off with Fast Five, and forgot all about four. The fourth film was good, and definitely a step up from Tokyo drift, but it was only decent imo. But yeah, I just looked at Fast Five kick starting off a new trilogy itself since it was so different from the rest of the films.

Ehh.. I had zero desire to see him appear in the rest of the movies. He's another straight character like Brian... so why do we need 2 Brians? One is enough. He's not a funny character, not a "dangerous" or interesting character, he was boring. He won't hurt the movies by any means, but I guess it would make sense to have him involved considering the end of Tokyo Drift and where this next one is going.

Story wise, I like it. In terms of the actor, I agree with some of you. But hey, I'm all for continuity, which has been HUGE for the franchise.

Probably follow the storyline of him killing dude with the wrench or show parallels in how they both grew up...
So since they are bringing Lucas back are they bringing Bow Wow back as well... Smh

Just keep in mind that the movie will most likely begin in LA. Vin Diesel already stated during press for FF6 that this thing is going global once again, "“We have a stint in Tokyo and there is the Middle East next, that could be interesting.”

They're also filming in Atlanta and shooting at Pikes Peak in Denver, where those set pics posted above were from. Locations are being set up right now, but filming officially commences this Wednesday.

Mid East... Dubai would be a nice location visually on film. tie in some mid est terrorists & can keep this series going well into 9 only getting better...it needs to go into a newer direction now that everyone is home & fam again. Statham won't last but FF7.

Timberlake of Japan should be brought back for redemption. Who knows, I remember reading a rumor that maybe Shaw knew Chiba or worked with him. Taking on the Yaks is probably not the best storyline though.

I just thought of something that is an issue. Lucas Black is a friend of Han's. Drove his car and what not. Han dies, and a few (months?) later Vin comes to Tokyo to race the new DK. (Black)

Lucas Black = High schooler. The kid is in HIGH SCHOOL.

And he's going to run with Dom Torretto's crew? He gon help out The Rock?


Bigger worry, in 2003 it was fine, Black was what, 21 or so playing an 18 year old. He's now 32ish going to play a 18, evern 19 year old kid?


I'm all for him havin a cameo, and maybe a scene where he helps get a couple cars, or even knows some people in the area that can help Dom/Brian out, but to have a full role? I dunno.
And if they come all the way back, only to jump ahead a couple years to help blend his age in, 22, in college or some ****, that's stupid too. Shaw didn't make the call at the accident site only for Dom to hear back 4 years later or some mess.


Guys, this is a pretty big plot hole. :\

cmon man, in a movie where characters have come back to life, half of Rio got leveled, a runway ran about 20 miles, cars blow up every 5 minutes, and Vin Diesel, youre sensing a plot hole?

letty came back to life man, i wouldn't be surprised if we seen giselle and han at the end holding hands staring out on a beach in a remote european location, when suddenly don omar and tego roll up on a yacht (after winning big in monaco) with the whole goddamn squad on it, including Jesse

at this point, i just want to see Vin Diesel and the rock fight jason statham, then hop in their ridiculous cars, twist the steering wheel at dangerous speeds, leap out over mount fuji and fight midair, all while michelle rodriguez fights some other hot girl in the rain
