The Official Zoom Kobe II Thread-

I actually like the Kobe2 exponentially better than the XX2, as they're more responsive, have better traction, and are much more flexible and natural feeling, and the XX2 has an odd stance initially. Don't get me wrong...XX2 are a seriously good shoe too, but definitely give the Kobe2 a shot. Also consider the Strength version as many people are having trouble with irritation along the ankle bones and the achilles w/ the Ultimates.

well, i ruined my zk2s this past weekend ballin outside, probably the single worst outdoor ballin shoe ever ... NO GRIP! comfortable though, indoors they are a dream. the protection they provided me while i was ice skating (read: ballin) was unequivocably spectacular i rolled over on my ankle and was expecting a LONG LONG break from playing due to the way i landed, but the shoe was like a mcadams ankle brace, not even so much as a sharp twinge just an unpleasant bending of my foot.

still slippin and sliding is unquestionably the largest deficit that ive experienced with these shoes ... kind of a let down

^^^That's where your trashed ZK1's come in.

I figured the way the traction is laid out on these, they wouldn't be suited for outdoor play. Thanks for the confirmation and sorry about your experience. A huge letdown, I'm sure. Glad your ankle is alright.

^ yo pick up a pair of ZK1's if you wana rock Kobes for outdoor and still break necks...the ZKII is mainly for indoor use
I had the same problem when i tried my black/maize sheaths outside but soon returned to my all star ZK1's (great outdoor/indoor sneaker)

...before u get completely let down play with the 2's in a gym...im sure u'll be happy then

Rock still think the XX3 samples will be protected?..I still think so, you?
ed. REAL pics may take a lot longer, because NO one is going to give up their job snappin pics of it for real, unless they have super balls.

that good eh?

Thanks for the feedback Billy. This is what I love about this board.

Now that my XX2s are broken in they feel great - not 100% natural but they work great. I'm getting really excited about the KB2s since you think they are better in just about every way and more natural feeling. Now that there is a F&F coming up I will have to pick up a pair and try them out.

As for the Strengths, I don't like the extra weight/bulkiness and lower ventilation. Besides to me the colow blocking on the black/maize is perfect and the best looking KB2 to date. This is saying a lot since I have not been very interested in black kicks for the last couple of years. Hopefully the potential ankle and achilles issues will not be issues for me.

Destination Kicks: thanks! i've been dying to see what would be so revolutionary about the 3 since i heard avar was doing it. the novelty of the material...is it the actual texture of it that you can't describe or the actual tooling of it? and what's the midsole like? is the midsole 'part' of the upper or separate? oh, and you need to tan those legs, bro.
