Plus, i can get 15% off since im a college student. Really about to pull the trigger...

I used to be so anti-suit, and I still don't want to ever have to wear a tie everyday.

But I work at a job now where I have to wear a nice shirt and a blazer and no jeans.

Lemme tell you, I have never felt more like a "somebody". Broads treat a dude who they see dresses like that everyday like he might as well be in the NBA.

I feel the opposite.

Every time I put on a suit I feel like a chump. Like because I'm just an average person I have to dress up to pay my respects to others. Jay-Z or Kobe or any dude with $5mm liquid could walk down the street and into any office in a t-shirt, training shorts and some boat shoes and not give a damn.

I guess to me you aren't powerful enough until you can say **** you to anyone you want.

Wow. I guess you said it though, if you view yourself as just average and a chump.

To the OP, buy a suit. You can find plenty of cheap options that'll suffice. Get something that fits well off the rack and spend the extra money to get it altered by a tailor to fit you perfectly. I'd go with a grey suit if I were you, navy as well. Stick to solid and not pinstripes or any patterns for now.

I say you should cop one. Nice to change the day to day wear up sometimes and you could use it for multiple occasions.

This is a young sounding statement. The fact that Jay-Z or Kobe or the folk that you're talking about DON'T come into business meetings and whatnot without the proper attire should tell you something.

Take a look at the Forbes Billionaires list: http://www.forbes.com/billionaires/list/ All these people are pictured in suit and tie (except the women, obviously).

Invest in a suit (or two) for sure. 19 is a fine age to start. Weird that you've never had to wear a suit before though  .

Don't get anything expensive until you are fully done growing, then you can get some made-to-measure suits that fit much better than an off the rack suit with alterations.

 @ a suit and tie makes you feel like a chump

Im bout to switch my wardrobe all the way up and just rock 3 pieces on some scott disick ****

The quality of yambs increases exponentially when u rock suits at random events :smokin

I'm young, immature and hate authority though so obviously how we see it is different. I won't lie, my mentality is childish but it is what it is.

The difference is that Jay-Z and Kobe have the power to choose. They go into those meetings wearing proper attire because they choose to respect traditions and who they work with, but they would still be meeting people regardless of what they wear. These people are at a level where they get to exercise their discretion, and I like that level.
You're not going to be Jay Z or Kobe. Buy a suit.

no, some people don't even look there age, you could be 19yrs old but maybe you look like ur in mid twenties. little kids wear suits it looks grown. females like that

This in interesting. I see your sig, so you're what...a Soph at Northwestern? 20? The way you say it, you realize you're immature/childish and that it's a negative but you don't really care? I'm not gonna act all high & mighty like I was the most mature person by then but still, you think you'd be trying to improve yourself in every way possible, especially at a place like NW. I don't know what your major (great business school) is but regardless, you're in all likelihood gonna have to give in and grow up sometime soon and the suit aspect is just a small part of it.
That whole Jay Z & Kobe thing is ridiculous to me, good luck on your way to being a superstar rapper or ballplayer though. I'd give you way more credit if your reasoning was due to individualism but you already look towards other people as the basis for your reasoning.

Anyway, this was about buying a suit for a wedding. Good luck being the ******* that shows up in "a t-shirt, training shorts and some boat shoes." :rolleyes Until you get to that $5mil liquid worth, suit up homie.

the sooner the better believe me you dont want to be unprepared there are plenty of occasions where youre going to need one this wedding just being the first

I had my first suit when I was like 5. I have a bunch now. You should have at least 2 suits right now.
