What other earbuds offer you a hard piece of plastic to put in your ear? That's worth $200? $150? Most offer you 3 or 5 tips to make sure they fit securely and comfortably.
What is so special about them? Sensors let them know when they're in your ear?

Peoples expectations are always misplaced.
I don't know what people truly expect from these keynote/releases.
They hear some absurd rumor or see some unrealistic photoshop and expect it to really happen.
Cats still waiting on an all glass see through phone with holograms... This ain't a movie, dog.

Typical Apple event like all the others since Jobs died......yet I hope each time that it is like the Apple of old..........instead, we basically are sheep for overpriced items with technology that is behind......except for Apple's thought process.
Plus, I already lost the Airpods, and I don't even plan on buying them. People will be walking around with one pod on ear like they do with cracked screens on the iphone they are holding.

This. To those disappointed with the 7, what did you want to see that was missing?
I'm perfectly good with this upgrade. Only thing I can think of missing was having an edge to edge screen on the front which they're doing next year.

I'm fine with everything, I wanted to believe the headphone lightning cable rumor to be false. That was my only issue.

So I can't charge my phone and use headphones at the same time anymore? 
Gotta wait a few months then I'll be able to upgrade. 5 more payments, or pay $163 and trade in, or pay $421 without a trade in

Parents are due for upgrade in Nov. Dad has the 6, mom has the 6s. Gives plenty of time to see how the 7 is before copping for them.

Exactly. Which is why I usually wait until the new full update.
This was the first time I went from a normal release to an S release, and I'm debating on if I should stick with my usual 2 year run or get back on track with the model numbers and bit the bullet to go from 6 plus - 6S plus - 7 in such a short period of time.
I think I'm going to ride it out at least until the 7S. I want an all black phone, but I'll just wait until next year. I'm not washing money again.
