Reading that I couldn't help but realize it's been half a decade since I messed around with ethernet.

I read that like wth why would a person piggyback internet off a pc, when they could just connect thru wifi. Then im like this gotta be a desktop to which who still has a desktop as their only cpu, and in 2014 who the hell doesnt have a router? Im pretty sure every home internet service uses routers. And what place of business doesnt have wireless internet. Hell i think even McKie Dees even has it.

Dude on something else....lol whats next phones should have a vga adapter....a way to display on analog tv's, the ability to backup movies etc to VHS lol

man this aint reseller thread........... lol

ebay pretty much

Market is flooded with them right now they are selling but im surprised some under cutting ain't taking place. most people buying are over seas. going to be hard to flip that US. at this stage people who haven copped already are cool with that wait time and surprise restocks are popping up

where in settings? safari still opens up when a link is clicked on other aspects of the OS.

where is the remote desktop?

the reverse tether is legit man. work places sometimes dont have wifi. and sometimes at the library or school library, the wifi connection sucks, but when you plug in to ethernet its all good. im not about to go up to them and say hey fix your wifi for the sake of my iphone. and id ont feel like running my data if the option is there. its legit question, and if apple cant do it, no harm, not surprised at this point.

whats the best on that drag and drop stuff you recommend?

You right on the default browser.... I just came off of jb and it is in settings with a jb. As far as remote desktop it does it with a mac but i dont own one so im not sure exactly how it does it or how it works however i do know there is a remote desktop app for pc in itunes cause i use to use it before cloud storage.

As far as itunes alternatives you got itools which will let you drag and drop to and from your phone..... pics, music, apps, sms, voicemail, contacts etc.... Same with ifunbox, it also gives you access to root and system files etc. there's also copytrans suite. Also diskaid. Iexplorer as well.

Damn i forgot cause i haven't did it in like ages but you dont need an app to reverse tether to your phone you could just share the connection using a peer to peer network where the pc is the host and the phone is the client. Kinda like people use to daisy chain desktop pcs before wifi was around. Same concept instead you wouldnt be using a network adapter and crossover cables you would just use the USB port and the iphone lighting cable

I love the 6 coming from a Nokia 520 since my 5 took a crap on me. However, im quite irritated at the functionality with NT. Can't post pics, it's bugging out sometimes.. No good.

Also - the "Tips" app is pretty cool since im getting older and losing my tech-i-ness.

iClarified did a benchmark test on 6 and the 6+ for folks on the fence trying to see the difference in the models

The 6 is 7.9% faster then the 5S and the 6+ is 15.7% faster.

The 6 has a 11hr 15min battery life on wifi
The 6+ has a 13hr 45min battery life on wifi

Frames per second 6 is at 42.8 the 6+ is 44.8

In other words the 6 is roughly 15 or so % faster etc then a 5S and the 6+ is around 28% overall upgrade from a 5S

iPhone 6 Plus Display Judged 'Best Smartphone LCD Ever Tested', iPhone 6 Also Solid
Monday September 22, 2014 8:45 am PDT by Eric Slivka
DisplayMate, which routinely performs thorough testing of display quality on a variety of electronics, has released its iPhone 6 Display Technology Shoot-Out, taking a look at the performance of Apple's latest handsets using new "Retina HD" technology. While DisplayMate's Ray Soneira has not shied away from criticizing Apple's displays on some recent devices, he found the iPhone 6 Plus to have the "best performing Smartphone LCD display that we have ever tested" while the iPhone 6 also scored well in testing.

While the "best ever" designation includes the caveat of applying to LED displays and DisplayMate continues to rate the OLED display from the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 as the best overall smartphone display, the gains seen in the iPhone 6 and particularly the iPhone 6 Plus are impressive.

Based on our extensive Lab tests and measurements, the iPhone 6 Plus is the Best performing Smartphone LCD display that we have ever tested. It delivers uniformly consistent all around Top Tier display performance. The iPhone 6 Plus is only the second Smartphone display (LCD or OLED) to ever get all Green (Very Good to Excellent) Ratings in all test and measurement categories (except for Brightness variation with Viewing Angle, which is the case for all LCDs) since we started the Display Technology Shoot-Out article series in 2006, an impressive achievement for a display. The iPhone 6 Plus has raised the bar for top LCD display performance up by a notch.

In particular, the iPhone 6 Plus display sets new records among LCD displays for peak brightness, low reflectance, and several measures of contrast and accuracy.

DisplayMate finds the iPhone 6 display to have many of the same strong areas of performance as in the iPhone 6 Plus, but the lower resolution and pixel density hold the smaller model back somewhat.

Most rescaled images look noticeably better on the iPhone 6 Plus with 2.1 Mega Pixels compared to just 1.0 Mega Pixels on the iPhone 6. In addition, even at the native display resolution, fine text and graphics look better on the iPhone 6 Plus if you look carefully and closely at the screen (because you may want to or need to).

The display on the iPhone 6 is none-the-less still a Very Good display, and most buyers will be happy with its performance, but it’s somewhat disappointing that Apple went for satisfactory as opposed to the best.

DisplayMate's report includes a variety of charts and tables comparing the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus to the iPhone 5/5s that are worth a look, as well as some discussion of how LCDs such as those found in the latest iPhones compares with OLEDs favored by Samsung.

Has anyone gotten their upgrade recovered through apple? Att rep I chatted with said to go to apple store to get upgrade back.

This was without China! Unlike last year! If they were able to launch in China would have been another 2 million.

Monday September 22, 2014 5:34 am PDT by Richard Padilla
Apple today announced that opening weekend sales of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus topped ten million units, breaking the previous record of nine million units set by the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c last year.

“Sales for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus exceeded our expectations for the launch weekend, and we couldn’t be happier,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “We would like to thank all of our customers for making this our best launch ever, shattering all previous sell-through records by a large margin.

As with previous years, the company also claims that demand for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus has been very high, as more orders will be fulfilled over the coming weeks. Apple announced last Monday that it processed four million first-day pre-orders on September 12.

Currently, shipping estimates for new iPhone 6 orders remains at 7-10 business days, while the iPhone 6 Plus is still showing a shipping delay of 3-4 weeks. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will also be available in 20 more countries including Austria, Belgium, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and more on September 26.

Good looks to whoever mentioned bestBuy 285$ for my 5s end up coming out of pocket about 150$ for a 128gb gold 6 Woohooo!!!

The 6+ looks too vulnerable and I have small hands

I dig it and want it but just feel like I'll break it in a week

When I was in the Apple Store, I was talking to the AT&T rep and explained the situation and
he reversed my upgrade on the spot.

(For them, its literally just clicking a button and it processes the reversal.)

My friday was great, walked into the Apple Store at 8:30 without waiting in line and
picked up my 64gb gold iPhone 6. :smokin

Anyone know if I can exchange my 6+ at Apple, even though I bought it at Verizon? I feel like no, but figured it was worth a shot.

Also, I thought someone mentioned Apple doesn't charge a restocking fee

Sucks having to wait to upgrade [emoji]128530[/emoji] wasn't like this about the 5 or 5S. Probably cause of the new design and screen.

where they trying to get that unlimited plan up out her tho....

i may do next the next time around but my data use is to damn high
Nah she doesnt have unlimited she just has the basic 2GB data plan. The ipad is hooked up on the data plan too so she can use it on the go. Made me realize how much im actually on my phone :smh:

use to think my ma would go over her 2GB and she hasnt yet, meanwhile im a consistent 7-8 GB a month (granted i stream youtube, hbogo, netflix, etc) but still

When I got mine at RadioShack, they told me that there is not an option on the screen (at least for them) to accept my unlimited plan and move it to the 6. The 2 guys working had to manually do it, and mark my upgrade as going to the iPhone 5 since the option to keep unlimited was there for the 5. On the 6 the only options on their screen was to choose a data plan.

That might be where/how they are getting people out of unlimited. Theyll still honor grandfathered unlimited if you fight for it, but theyre def trying to rid people of it.

Looking online a 10GB plan is $140, my bill monthly for unlimited is $130 ... Im like cmon man its $10, but then I thought about it if thousands or so of customers are skipping out on $10 monthly every 2 years thats adding up.

(this is for AT&T)
