I will never understand the mob mentality. I have been an Android user my whole adult life just for preference reasons, and now want to try an iPhone because it's got the stuff I want. What's so bad about looking at the phones from an unbiased perspective and just taking into account wants and needs? I don't care what kind of phone makes me happy, as long as it fulfills my expectations!

I think your expectation for Apple is way too high... the last revolutionary thing they did was create the ipod and itunes 

But I agree with you 100% they dropped the ball on split screen and true multitasking 

They will never make external storage its not in their just interest to do so. 

plus 128gb is plenty

of course it is but look how much they're charging for it. When you could just buy a 16 or 64 and then add an external SD for cheap

What widgets are they talking about on the iphone?

If my understanding is correct, it's not like widgets on an Android. The widgets are part of the notification screen that let you respond or bid on ebay items or something like that.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, widgets are a big part of my Android usage and if Apple made this jump I'd be much more interested.

iPhone was the first smart phone I ever bought and it's done everything I've ever needed without faltering, so I'm good never straying away. Everyone acts like one is better than the other. They're not. Pretty much every smart phone these days is the ****. It's all a matter of preference. I prefer iOS over what Android offers. My only complaint about iPhone will always be memory. Stop charging me so damn much for extra memory and this time around it's especially dickish going from 16gb to 64gb. Just end the 16gb nonsense. Start with 32gb and go from there. Keep 16gb for your "free" with contract phones. Just really curious to see them in person and hold them in my hand, but love the look of the 6, and I was just given a free copy of my favorite band's new album that no one knew was coming out today that way. Today was definitely a good day.

yea the Note 2 was 5.5 and the Note 3 was 5.7.  Note 4 is also 5.7

apple already has started seeding ios 8 and itunes 11.4 for ppl with developers account... if you already have/had beta 5 you can just upgrade thru your phone

For all yall ****** on apple products, they may not be as powerful, or have all the fancy features as the androids.

but they just work smoother, they last longer, and are built better.

For example, I had 2 windows laptops within a 2 year period 2008-2010. I got a macbook pro in 2010, still going strong, not a damn thing wrong with it.

I also had an s3, horrible battery life, changed to Iphone 4s loved it, but then got a HTC one M7. It was okay, and was made well, but lagged alot, and the apps didn't flow well.


What good is all your technology if they don't run correctly and smooth as apple products with "inferior" technolgy? 

Nobody is talking about the computers though. I think most people would agree that Apple makes some of the best Computers and Laptops that there is. Personally i don't like the way they are set up so i stick to PC's, but there is no denying the Apple ones are awesome.   Their phones though.....

The point remains the same though. All those features and the phones aren't eem smooth.

I never had a slow iphone, 

Every single Android I've owned has been clunky and laggy.

For reference I've had the Eternity, Infuse, Galaxy s2, s3, Htc one.

I've had the 3gs, 4, 5s.

Aint no such thing as iPhone work better than Android or visa versa. Every phone has it's problems, EVERY. I've had iPhones and they **** up, I've had Androids, and they **** up too. Conclusion, THEY ALL **** up. I can't say any iPhone I had was better than any Android I've had. Now I never had a iPhone 5 or higher, so I don't know, but below that, the iPhone 4s and such, they had battery issues, overheating issues and lag. Same thing with Android, my HTC HD2 had a **** load of bugs and lagged. My HTC One M7 had the crappy purple tint camera issue. My M8 stopped charging for 24hrs and then next day it was charging fine, go figure. All phones will eventually have issues. You'll find people in this thread that will say there iPhone is a superstar, ull find people in the Android thread so there phone is flawless.

I'm having trouble installing the GM with the iTunes 12.0 beta in Yosemite, supposedly installing the Xcode GM has been clearing people's trouble, so I'm giving that a whirl.
