I'll admit idk what new feature would have really impressed me. I think water resistance would have been nice. Honestly, I think I'm just bitter that if I want the best features, I feel forced into the 6+ and I don't think I want a phone that big. I wish they each had the same features, just different sizes. But I get why Apple wouldn't do that.

Maybe its just because I'm (presumably) older than you and have different priorities...but in all honesty, out of all the things Apple has announced in the last two years...the Touch ID + Apple Pay combo has been the most exciting to me.

If i can slim my wallet down and have all of my info from 4 credit card's handy in one device, while using a biometric sensor that will prevent anyone from accessing my financial data (barring: super-spy CIA finger-print reproduction techniques) thats worth the upgrade alone. 

I think Apple is about to usher in a revolution with the digital payments.

Does having a screen resolution of 720p, 1080p, 4K on smartphones matter? I always thought they mattered just for TV displays because would we even be able to tell the difference from the small screen size?
 
I don't think it makes a big difference tbh.. But if they're offering one with 1080p and one without it. Why not.. Same with the battery if one is bigger than the other I'd be foolish to pass on that

I wouldnt say its foolish not to get the bigger phone but more preference.. some people needs/wants are different

I heard a lot of people talk of the battery being "bigger" but Ive yet to see the specs on the battery... If both have the same output (mAh) then its just a software manipulation that makes it seem greater/bigger capacity. 
 
Battery life will prob be close to the same, the 6+ bigger screen will kill the battery.
