I bought outright to avoid renewing my contract for another 2 years because my Carrier is trying to make me pay $20 extra per month. Saves me more money IMO

to make people buy the 64gb and have increased profits, they know 16gb isnt enough anymore, so you have the decision to either be cheap or get what you need. I can put money the iphone 6S or 7 will have 4K video so 64 is a must what that time comes

maybe im the outlier...but i never understood the purpose of pre-ordering a phone. its not like the phone will sell out and not be available ever again..

Whats funny is that NT rushing to pre order and buy this $200+ phone and want it on release day, but gonna have the same phone as MILLIONS of other people.

But pass on a sneaker because "everybody gonna have em" ??????

Which is why I don't get why dudes are complaining. Crying about Apple forcing them to get a 64 when they want a 32gb. You're getting double the storage for the same price.

So if I preorder on apple when I go to pick it up I can do my trade in then for an instant credit right? Basically the charge now will be a hold then it will be the actual charge on release day. Just don't wanna preorder, lose my upgrade then be stuck with my old phone even though I can flip it. Just wanna do everything in one shot.

need to know this as well, if Apple lowballs me or gives me a giftcard/rebate I'ma be pissed

Well, yes. If 64 GB is the second tier option, then there's no reason 16GB should be tier 1 aside from screwing the Apple Fans. Like someone said, it forces the choice to get a 64 cuz no one's getting a 16. For people who would have bought the Tier 2 32 GB anyways, it gives them bonus storage, but for the people trying to spend bottom $ then it forces them to pay more. And clearly storage is not a price issue, it's a marketing scheme.

now for $200 they can have it, my phone looks brand new when the ob comes off & the screen protector is still on so it has zero issues

A friend just got back from the sprint store. Said the rep would give him the $200 for his 4s. But also said the 6+ was back ordered 6 weeks!
He also said the store was packed like it was Black Friday or something.

So from what it sounds like, regardless of what carrier you get it from, many preorders are backordered. But if you go the 19th you can likely still get what you want.
Sound right?

This sound a little too good to be true but if it is and they still let me trade in 3 phones at once I might actually ditch Verizon for Sprint since the coverage is decent in my area

Trade into Sprint for $600
Buy i6 right out
Flip 5s to cover my ETF
Get reimbursed from Sprint for the cost of ETF

Mehh local apple store stock already says unavailable for pickup

I made a list of prices but can't find it so it's off memory.

Apple 5-$205 5s-$310
Verizon 5-$200 5s-$300
Best buy 5-$220 or $225 5s-$305

I'm sure all places are credits/gift cards good towards the purchase of a new iphone.

You do know sprint phones can't be used anywhere but sprint.. Unless you are referring making a new account and doing that

But I doubt they will let people stack phones

Yep I would just switch services, Verizon is far and away the best in my area but Sprint isn't too bad either. I've never had them but it's supposed to way better here than it was a few years ago

And yeah as far as stacking I was thinking that but one of their big marketing points now is how you can trade in 3 phones at once per line and 5 per year as compared to T Mobile who only let you do 1

So we'll see if not I'll just stick with Verizon

I ordered from apple this morning and had an estimated delivery date of 3-4 weeks. UPS email that I just got said my phone will arrive on release day
