 you have to approve friends and such. And yea it's really helpful to track your kids whereabouts. Don't add your girl tho.

Having to manage the cache and limiting what you can put on your phone is annoying, but do you.

ive had to move photos and video to my itunes now for a second time. i have a 32GB iPhone 5, it gets extremely annoying idk how people get by with only 16GB (about 11GB really)

today i just wiped my music from my phone, about 1,500 songs to clear up 9GB since ive been using the Beats app and saving to offline. i officially went to 0 bytes this morning.

im planning on getting a 64GB atleast, maybe the 128GB if payments arent too bad.

why cant i see finance option on Apple? it only shows me carrier options.. im trying to leave Verizon dammit!

I keep some music on my phone in case streaming/wi-fi isn't available or if I've used up a lot of data for the month.

I have 10,000+ songs in my itunes library. Out of all of that I listened to around 4600 songs multiple times within the past year, so thats what I keep on my phone (created a "For Iphone" playlist and sync only that music). That in itself is 24.5 GB on my phone. No way I'd be using a 16 GB. The rest of my library is on google music and I'll just stream that for those one offs songs or albums I'm in the mood for.

Some of you guys have to open your minds up and accept that not everyone has the same needs as you have.

The 16 GB did me fine for the longest. I've had the 3G, 4, 4S, 5, 6+ and didn't really feel the "need" for larger space until towards the end of me having the 5. I couldn't get my hands on a 6+ in 64+ in the time period I desired (no patience) so I have the 16GB 6+ now. I def don't feel like I'm being cheap. I just have a different use than some of you have.
My photos get backed up to the google+ app
I don't really have music on my phone since I have Xm in my car and I don't listen to music at work
A big culprit for me was me having years worth of text message store. Changing my setting to delete texts over 30 days makes it so I have about 5.5-6 GB of free storage most of the time.

My main apps are
ESPN fantasy football
IG
FB
EBAY
YouTube
Rotoworld
And a couple of other dumb apps. I really just use my phone to play on the internet most of the time

I use my iPod touch 5th generation for music. My iPhone is just very few apps, photos and videos of concerts. Have a 5S 32 gb. I've used 20.1 and have 6.1 left

I've read on forums that a lot of people do this. Its so that they don't have to keep plugging and unplugging their phones from there cars. Just keep an iPod connected and only take it out for updates.

My girl does this and honestly it's probably what ill be doing too.

I always burn my batteries out. Gotta learn not to leave my phone charging overnight.

i live in NY and commute on the train to NJ everyday for work so music is a MUST for me. now that i stream my music i just save music for offline use. ive heard alot about people using the touch for music, i just dont wanna carry another device with me. i already carry my phone and sometimes my ipad, or 3DS.

This is something that I started doing when I got my 6 plus last year. I unplug it as soon as it's fully charged. Even if I were to wake up in the middle of the night I'll still on plug it. I'm still debating if I should get Spotify premium. It will save some room on my phone but I like to own my music.

The problem is you dont get to use the full 64GB, the software takes up more space than needed. And it seems like the newer the update the more space it takes. Thats why I stopped messing with 16 and went with 64 and now on 128 6+.

I love it.

that's not crazy .... load all your music & then let it play random
Question,

I use my iPhone as an iPod and every time my phone reconnects to the car, playlist starts all over again. Im skipping a bunch of songs Ive already heard the last time I was in the car.

Any way to keep the shuffle feature on forever?

I used to have an iPod in the car and didnt like leaving it in there. I was afraid of getting robbed and it would over heat a lot. I would constantly forget it at home too and I was forced to listen to the radio.

I Now I have the 128gb, and I love it. Its a lot easier to maintain and I even listen to music when im in the restroom. LOL.

My kid is loving my iPod. He thinks its a phone (when on wifi)

Its funny you say that, my wifi signal is to the top but my service circles keep jumping back and forth from one and two. I hope I dont lose the good reception I have here at work.

So I did the upgrade to iOS9 today. I first tried to update through my mac and it didnt give me an estimated time. Is that normal? I waited like an hour to see if anything happened and nothing.

So I disconnected my phone from the mac and did the update via my phone through wifi. Everything downloaded smoothly in less than 45 minutes.

I thought connecting it to the mac would be quicker than straight through the phone.

For those with low audio playing music, looks like ios9 didn't fix the Facebook bug. If the app is running in the background it will lower your music.

This single feature may make upgrading to iOS 9 worth the effort.

About 10 times every day some “Unknown” person calls my phone, and fearing an untimely/uncomfortable/tedious/unnecessary conversation, I often don’t pick up. They often don’t leave voicemail, so I’m left to wonder if I just refused a call from somebody important.

Apple’s new iOS 9 mobile operating system contains a very cool new feature that attempts to help you out with that problem.

When an unknown person (or bot) calls, the OS searches through your email for names that might be associated with the phone number calling. When it finds a possible match, it says “Maybe [person’s name]” underneath the phone number on the screen.

This can totally change your decision on whether to take the call. You may have no problem talking to the person during business hours but have no desire to talk to them in the evening, for example.
