entry level luxury cars.... EDIT: I DO NOT want one. just want people's opinion.

so why even buy a BMW when they are oriented for people who like to drive, thats da whole mantra/ethos of BMW..

why even subscribe to BMW?

i never understood why people buy things they dont care about..if you want a cruiser, and you dont care about performance why not get 100000 other things

that are better suited to your needs instead of a stripped down bare bones 328i? if you really dont care about anything else...makes no sense.
Same way people buy a lambo and never take it to the track.

When and if you get a ZL1, where you gonna park it?

why cant people just buy cars because the way it looks and dont need stiffer suspension, bigger rims, extra gadgets that they wont use or want?
plenty of nice non luxury cars provide so much bang for your buck that look fantastic.
just because you think a car looks fantastic doesnt mean the next man will.. like the whole 328i vs the 335i... someone might like the looks of the current BMW but doesnt really car about the turbos, engines, brakes, rims and suspension.. just the fact that THEY THINK IT LOOKS NICE..

because of the way it looks? the interior of the car?.. like someone else said lambo's are meant to be driven at a performance level also, but how many people do you know that actually do it? 10%? 20%?...

Word, it's like copping Js and foams if you're not balling in them y'know? Why rock them casually when they're meant to play basketball? Choices, options, free will. The hell needs these things?

plenty of garages around my hood.

bottomline is its pointless to by a entry level luxury car from BMW, benz, audi...

here's an example, when lexus debuted their LS400 once upon a time, they SHOOK UP da luxury landscape because they they made a BETTER

luxury car that had MORE features for WAY LESS MONEY....THATS what you call a smarter buy.

instead of settling for a 328 or a c300, why dont people cross shop around to get da best value for their dollar?

Because if they wanted a Lexus, they'd buy a Lexus.

But they want a BMW, or Mercedes, or whatever the hell else they want to buy because that's what they feel like buying.

Are you an imbecile? Or just someone pretending to be an imbecile?

thats not the point.. im trying to tell you, some people might not care about those lexus or bmw luxury features... they like the way the car looks from the inside out, why cant you understand that?

thats a contradiction
Maybe he would have more money if he bought an economical whip with more features than his basic mercedes

obviously this cardiologist feels the need to prove himself and has to be in a benz which makes him a badge flosser

i personally dont care what anyone drives its their car their money i only got problems with those "flexers" in their 07 entry level beamer and what not
always feel the need to say i drive a " bmw , benz etc"

the cardiologist has this need to stunt but hes in an entry lvl benz which is not doing it

i already know his type "what do you do for a living? im a doctor . What do you drive? a benz"

you think mercedes designs their entry lvl cars for 40+ year olds and doctors
no they design it for teenagers and the fresh out of college getting their first job and having the need to validate themselves

the S class exists for a reason

Aren't you the same dude that wanted to wear a Louis Vuitton checker pattern belt to a job interview? Badge flossin huh...

This thread reminds of when ESPN aired a small doc about Brock Lesnar. Dude was UFC heavyweight champion at the time and they had footage of dude driving to his gym in a Chevy Aveo. If I recall #ChevyAveo was trending for like a good 2 hours after this

Thats da whole point of da thread, you gotta be a

A real fool to not only buy something that isnt giving

You a better value because of simply their name,

Hence da slight at people coppin "entry level" luxury

Cars when they could've got WAY more for their

Dollar if they simply cross shopped around.

seems like you still dont get it... FORGET THE BADGE ON THE CAR.. what IF, they bought the car for the looks of the interior and exterior? i have said it 4 times already... they are not trying to buy a BMW because its a BMW.. they like the way it looks.. they dont care about luxury gadgets..
if i like a they way a shirt looks, im gonna buy it.. i dont care if there is a cheaper one that feels a little thicker.. what are you gonna say when i dont want a thicker shirt? it might be too warm? do you understand now?

stop it. Maybe that's why he has a lot of money. Because he doesn't spend the extra couple of thousands for the higher model.

a lot of psychoanalysis going on here...there are many reason people decide to buy things, so many that it isn't really worth parsing thru unless it is your profession or you are trying to make a similar decision yourself.

but lets assume your assertion about the 'type' of person this cardiologist is correct, given the MOST people really wouldn't know the difference between an entry level luxury car and whatever is one, two, & maybe even three levels higher in the luxury vehicle market, couldn't you say that this person made a shrewd decision to get a lil luxury cache (the ability to say, I drive an audi/BMW/merc) for maybe a lil more than a fully loaded asian/domestic make? cars are status symbols for many people, and as this thread makes painfully clear is people will judge you based on what you posses...furthermore some just believe luxury brands to be quality & status (be it hyped, perceived, or real) & willingly pay the premium.

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic/trolling with the mercedes (or any luxury manufacturer) entry level cars for teenagers & new college grads thing? those people have no fundage, entry level for 'luxury' whips is late 20s/early 30s. sure luxury brands want younger people to WANT their products but make no mistake, the are designed for the people with the income to buy them typically late 30s/40+....

i dont believe that for one SECOND.

I don't see what's so wrong about buying an entry level luxury.

I'm looking at a 335 coupe because that thing is flat out beautiful. I will take that specific car over any other series (minus the M and 6) in BMW's lineup. I've never been a fan of huge cars unless they're American Muscle

cars are big purchases for the VAST MAJORITY of people, it isn't a decision you can go into without shopping around, however we like what we like and sometimes decide that the boost the nameplate gives is worth the extra coin, value isn't exclusively in a products utility...there'd be a lot more Hyundais on the road if it were.

the irony of people on a board dedicated to one of the biggest brands in the world (whether one was, is, or ever had an interest in sneakers is somewhat beside the point, because niketalk is something of a brand itself), not being able to value of brand is too much...

Are you really that dense? A person can't like the body style of the 3 series not the 5 or the 7.. and only buy it for the looks? They don't care about how fast it goes, if the 335i has turbo .. they only want it because if the looks.. If you don't understand how people will buy stuff just because the way it looks your have no idea what people think outside of da heightz..

Thats fine, shows how extremely shallow going

That route does because instead of getting a overall

Better value for your dollar tour sacrificing specs

And other added benefits for superficial vanity, hence

Why EVERYONE here cab tell da snobs in entry

Luxury cars because what they deem value holds

NO value when compared to REAL luxury or Better

Performance/specs/value.

How does everybody know everything bout ninjahoods personal life?? Like couple days ago some dude was telling him he has zero bills. I'm actually intrigued and curious why everybody feels the need to air him out. Can't fake ninja is pretty savvy when he's on the defense.

I'm not gonna front. Im sure a lot of people buy mercedes, bmw, audi because of the name and how it's luxury brand vs honda, toyota but why can't someone like luxury? Isn't acura, lexus, infiniti entry level luxury, better bang for your buck than bmw yet we got guys in here clowning infiniti. I cant drive infiniti but I cant drive bmw as well. It's like you only want me to drive a honda or chevy.

I want you to go to the cardiologist's house and tell him what he should have bought with his money
