Chuy Gomez fired from KMEL

I'm sure they will find somebody younger to do the job for less. Sucks but its true. Who did his show this morning?

^I think Sana G took over the morning show and K2 moved to her spot. Something like that.. I forget.
 
sana G is so annoying. for someone too look as bad as her she's da last person to be talkin about how ugly someone else is. i never liked Sana G from the get Go. as for Chuy gomez sad to hear how shady CC went on you. hopefully you will find something a lot better than whack 106kmel...

I hope they do a complete overhaul. KMEL sucks.
 
Damn, Chuy is a Bay Area legend! Kinda ****** up how they did him! Hope he bounces back and makes them regret the day they let him go. KMEL is gonna fill his slot with that hood rat sana?!?!?! Too funny!

I lived in Sacramento but back in the 90's I hooked up some rabbit ear antennas with foil wrapped around them to pick up KMEL and listen to The Wake Up Show and just the station in general. I never would've thought Chuy would've made it to 2013. I don't even what radio stations do nowadays besides play the same 20 songs that some White exec probably typed up.
 
Wow... I'm shocked that he was let go. Just as shocked how KNBR dropped Ralph Barbieri out of nowhere.
 
Haven't listen to (the radio)him on the radio in years but i remember watching him on CMC(didn't know it's still on-air) everyday after school. Definitely a legend in the Bay. A station will pick him up where ever it may be.

looks like big von and dem throwing chuy gomez a fairwell party. not sure if 106 have anything to do wit it... yes chuy is getting old. atleast have the respect for the guy whos voice we been hearin in the bay for the last 20 years... i mean im not a fan of chuy but KMEL could of atleast provide this guy with a good fairwell party and they could of done things the right way... instead of chuy waking up not knowing that last week would be his last with them. he dedicated 20 years for them and this is how they say good bye too him. sad sad...
 
He may be old as **** but ****, the morning show ain't gonna be the same.  I grew up listening to this guy and now he's been let go.  He will be a legend in my book
 
Chuy was cool, even when he was on 9.49 doing that stunt he did on the bridge and almost closed it down. I've listened to him my whole life as well, which probably makes me the old head. I still remember Rick Chase, Trace and Franzen and course Sway. I guess 106 needs new blood now anyways. Might as well get rid of Sana G.

Not sure what happened to Trace but Franzen is actually still DJing in Vegas I think. Dude did pretty decent in that scene to still be relevant.

I think it was just the demographic that got Chuy let go. Comparing Stern to him is way different cause he's more talk radio. Chuy is urban top 40 station and his audience stays the same and he gets older. Sign of the times really. They need a backspin station like they do on Serius. It's all the things I grew up to. Haha.
