Nike Cortez Comeback?

I copped a pair from Walters a few years back for like $60. Joints had been sitting for the longest, almost a year. Now they're reselling for $200? :smh:

I kind of wanted these, but talked myself out of spending $100 on them this morning. I can't believe they moved though. Maybe it's time for Nike to try putting out those vintage runners again. I loved when they had a bunch of colors of the Waffle Trainer back in 07.

FWIW:

For the Gumps this morning, the app did not offer to auto-search and purchase my size, it gave the usual website error of purchase failed, others added to cart, try again later, which it did not do prior to this morning.

It did allow me to keep trying (even change sizes) by letting me enter (paste) my Nike password after each purchase failed error  again and again whereas the NDC showed OOS.

It's almost as if the bots got the upper hand again and I only got lucky because someone let a size 10 go.

edit: cross posting in SNKRS app topic

The sneaker AND resell world has gone crazy.

I changed your original post because i feel like this statement is more accurate. Shout out to all the blogs for hyping the s_ up(not really). I really wanted these. Not enough for someone to make 100 plus profit for a $100 shoe. Hopefully the resellers go to something else and drop the price on these.

Damn I'd like to get these Cortez, but not for the resell price. Maybe i'll wait for them to pop up again.

i'm truly in shock & when it comes to snkrs nothing is i'm just going to wait it out & hopefully the resell price will drastically go down (i know it's wishful thinking) if not i'll have to pass.a national news station was hyping these up all yesterday morning i wonder if nike had something to do with that if so they are truly a marketing genius.

Funny how these things sat at stores or outlets for 29.99 or less in the past. Saw the retail price at $100. Damn what were they smoking? Use the Roshe Bottom and they already used free bottom. Nike could have Tom Hanks do a commercial would be instant classic.

i would say it's safe to say it's a wrap for buying these from a retailer as much i really like Forrest Gump & Cortez no way i could pay over 60 bucks for them without regretting it.dope shoe props to all who were able to cop.

Damn, I remember when spots in NYC was charging $50-60 for Cortez's.  Now Nike talking $100?  Pass for me.  Certain things are not meant to be redone after a certain amount of time.
