Congrats on your wedding!!! Wear what YOU like at YOUR wedding! I get married in three weeks. i dont get why people are so concerned about what other men choose to put on their feet, acting like you are the ones getting married. kinda strange. it is sad how some people care so much about adhering to society's expectations. nothing wrong with doing things your way. my bro in law rocked chucks with this tux when he married my sister and it was dope.

I still have an untouched 2011 pair of Concords sitting in my closet right now for that special day. Long story short, a bunch of us lined up for the release and managed to get a nice spot in the front; the masses huddled, mayhem ensued, the mall doors were busted open, and everyone took off for the respective retailer. My girl took off with them, got to the front to the FL line and managed to grab the last men's pair for me while I got hers. I was able to grab another pair from NDC too so I planned to trade or resell until we found out she was preggo with our 1st kid about 2 weeks later. At that point, I decided to save them for our future wedding reception. Not everyone wants to emulate other's style. For me, it was all a sign. She's cool with it, she even wants to find Columbia's for her reception shoe now.
BTW, they weren't Jordans, but my cousin and his groomsmen wore all-white shell toes and Kangols for the wedding/reception. His theme was 80's hiphop, wifey was more traditional.

Back in 96, my best friend and I wore our concords to senior prom. In 07 when I got married, my wife allowed me to wear them at our reception (the 2000 retros) and she even got into it by wearing the pure money 3's. However at the church ceremony I wore my dress shoes.
I just moved, so I gotta see if I can somehow locate my pictures, but as my wife cleaned out her closet, she pulled those shoes out. It had been almost 7 years since I last saw them.
For those that want to wear them, more power to you, because I did. But if you're the opinion that its a wedding and you should be more formal I understand your point of view as well. That's why I wore the dress shoes for the ceremony, because that was for my family. The reception was more for us to let loose, so out the Jordans came.

I'm torn on what shoes to wear for my upcoming wedding. I have concord 11 lows right now that is my top choice. I was thinking of getting the Anniversary 11s or "tuxedo" 11 lows as well. Initially, I was gonna have some of my Legend Blue 11s custom embroidered/ lasered for our wedding, but now leaning toward other colorways. Hell even my "cyber monday" 1s look fresh with a tux. It's a hard decision...

I actually think imma actually go with the 72-10s also! Loops so clean and that leather looks dope on the upper. Might just go with some dress shoes for the ceremony and throw the 11s on for reception. DOPE shot tho bro. Congrats!
