The Expendables 3 - 4th Film Expected in 2018

i watched the first 15 minutes of part ii before i hit stop and deleted it.

all 15 minutes were extremeley corny/cheesy/typical but the last straw was when i saw stallone on that zip line killing 8 lackies with 5 shots.

im sorry but only the dumbest of meat-heads would enjoy this kinda junk...
Err you know it's kind of on purpose right

I might as well fire up Ice Age and get mad because there are no real actors

Female ‘Expendables’ Confirmed; Big-Name Actresses in Talks

We’re at a turning point in the cultural zeitgeist, concerning the representation of women. Male-dependent damsels like Bella Swan are increasingly frowned upon, in an age where princesses prefer swordplay to swooning over prince charmings. Televised hits Mad Men and Game of Thrones explore patriarchal societies in historical and fantasy context, while Homeland examines feminist ideals in the new century. This is a banner year for blockbusters featuring modern action heroines, thanks to Haywire, The Hunger Games, Snow White and the Huntsman, and Brave.

Thus, there is no time like the present for an Expendables-riff that unites all the armed-and-dangerous babes who’ve graced the silver screen. Director Simon West (Expendables 2) has revealed a desire to incorporate an “Expenda-Belles” team in a future installment, name-dropping such gals as Angelina Jolie (Tomb Raider) and Helen Mirren (RED) as possibilities. However, reports are in that Hollywood has begun the process of assembling a girls-exclusive riff on Expendables that takes place in a separate universe (but maintains the badassery factor).

Early negotiations are ongoing with “several prominent actresses affiliated with the action genre” to sign on for Shankar’s (untitled) female Expendables. Celebrities ranging from 1980s and ’90s relics Cynthia Rothrock (Undefeatable) and Brigitte Nielsen (Red Sonja) to actresses Jennifer Garner (Alias) and Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess) fit that bill, along with the younger Summer Glau (Firefly) and her Sarah Connor Chronicles costar Lena Headey. Potentials range from Zoe Saldana (Colombiana) to Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) – and far too many others to list here.

Stallone engineered a simple, but satisfactory, excuse for craggly hooligans of the big screen to work under the same roof in Expendables: they are all mercenaries, unified across different nationalities by the desire to reduce cartoonish baddies to mincemeat (and get paid while doing it). The female equivalent could follow suit, without straining credibility more than Sly’s machismo franchise does. Of course, suspension of disbelief will be of little concern to men and women who just want to see some fine gals kick *** (and chew bubblegum, perhaps).

I really hope the expendables keeps going until all prominent action stars are used....not counting out international ones as well.

I really like how they keep going up with these new additions to the cast.

:nthat:

I have to admit that I enjoy watching these films. I geeked out with Expendables 2 when JCVD was the main villian.

I grew up watching Arnold so glad to see him back in the spotlight.

it's a story out that Jason Statham almost died from doing a stunt. I am on the phone so I can't post the link but later I will .

Found it:

Statham Almost Drowns On Set Of EXPENDABLES 3, Shrugs Off Death And Returns To Work Instead.

What's a bit of water in the lungs? Nothing at all if you're former British national dive team member Jason Statham, apparently. Reports have surfaced in Europe that Statham was taken to hospital yesterday, the action star pulled unconscious from a pond after a stunt gone wrong.

What happened? Well, there was a fall into the water, apparently, and a stunt man was all set up to go when Statham insisted on doing the stunt himself. Former diver, puddle of water, what could go wrong? Well, something did, evidently, as he never came up and had to be fished out of the water by support crew. But mere water is no match for Statham who, after being checked over in hospital, returned to work later in the day.

This has got to be dopest crappiest franchise ever, you really gotta turn off all logic when watching these and just enjoy the epicness...if that makes any sense
