All of my 1985 babies. What are you up to today?

"My life is a constant battle between wanting to be alone and not wanting to be lonely"

Yea I saw that somewhere a while ago and it really applies to my life nowadays

Yep. I know the feelin

Same here.

I can relate to this, but I don't really get lonely. I just never want to see that day, still learning to let go of doing whatever I want and incorporate someone into that world. **** tough.

Sometimes fam. My friends are between 26-32 so I dont really feel old around them and i mostly work with older people so I feel young at work. But on like social networks and just being out in the city I look around sometimes and be like dag, I'll be 30 soon lol. I find myself telling younger dudes what I "used to do" and that makes me feel like a geezer sometimes lol

That and when all these nostalgia threads pop up on NT

You guys don't realize it, but you're being ridiculous. Late 20s is the perfect age for everything.

There's a few recurring points throughout that thread
Good looks I forgot about that thread when it fell off the 1st page.

Now that I think about it NT has already been pretty influential to my life for the better... A lot of the things posted in that thread are things i've already implemented MOSTLY because of NT.

-Stacking bread

-Learning to be an employer instead of an employee

-Drink only water

-**** aint loyal

 (been knew that)

-Actually focus on school instead of all the distractions

-Right body right mind, etc.

Glad y'all dudes have no problem spreading the love to us younger members. Your words are more powerful than you think.

Seeing you guys shine makes me want to shine just as bright.

I want to be 22 forever.

Medium job, dont like it. Just need a push to take advantage of my time. I could def make more.

No girl, but im not too keen on marriage still. And judging by todays society, not sure how it will be when im actually ready lol. I want a son but its still not on my radar.

No complaints really. I wish I did more and started some things earlier. But youll always say that. Ive had my quarter life crisesees (sp lolwut) but its whatever. Trying to figure out how I can make the most of my 50 or 60 years left. I want to have fun but im already past the other half of my prime body.

married with a son

got mba

wife ('85) has master's in environmental health but is in school now for a degree in counseling cause she wants to start some kind of community center

we'll leave the area we have called home most of our lives when she's done

not where i should be but it's not too late to get there

made some mistakes but learned from them

after a rough semester in undergrad, I bought my then girlfriend (now wife) a card that said "it's never too late to be what you might have been" - George Eliot

i believe in this wholeheartedly......

no real complaints (well, none that i can share in this thread)

so I'm good.

I know you guys aren't too much older than me, I'm 23 turning 24 soon, but I was wondering what would you tell your 24 year old self if you could go back in time?

Stop chasing the cat once you're successful they will chase you. Smh. So many years wasted young trying to impress chicks. Don't waste money to impress them get money do you they will flock because you're on ya grown man ****.

Dec '85. Still trying to start a career. Married with two kids. My HS Reunion got scrapped because people want tryna pay the fee. I wasnt going anyway because my son was due around that time

Bday on November 7...dang, will turn 29 :frown:

Started a new job 2 months ago at a global pharmaceuticals company. Still single, and deathly afraid of marriage though most of my friends are hitched or about to get hitched.

Still have thoughts of relocating to experience different aspect of the country/word.

Greatest accomplishment to date is still the 2 master's degrees
