All of my 1985 babies. What are you up to today?

6+ years of waking up with someone and then no one is defiantly something you gotta get use to lol but like I said I'm basically used to it now and ready to get my @Fontaine on lol
 Alas, I can't relate. My longest relationship was less than a year. Been too career focused and in school for the last 10 years. It felt weird in 2012 when I finished school, I actually had free time on weekends

I
were gonna be 30 in 2015

make this year count guys

That's real

I turn 29 this month. I figure I'm going to enjoy my last year of the twenties.

Me too. I still want to get out more and do new things.

No kids or gf. I'm getting hit with the "you need to settle down" thing family, my friends and even coworkers now. It's getting real.

  • divorced w/ prospects and an ex I been on/off with since I was about 13 years old
  • 2 kids (11 and 4) ; 2 snow bunny baby mommas
  • college drop out (Univ. of Central Florida) ; student loan paid off
  • employed by CBS for 7+ years
  • not interested in a mortgage, currently rent a 3 bedroom condo purchased by my 2nd baby momma (she got married and moved) ; her female cousin is my roommate (I can afford the place on my own, the chick just needed somewhere to stay and I offered)
  • have never had a credit card and currently have no loans
  • total debt = less than $3,000 ; credit score is comical
  • feel like I'm under achieving, but take pride in the fact that I rely on myself and am not one of those people who's parents put them in the position they're in yet front like they did it on their own
...my life is a circus tho.

Born 1987

  • No children
  • Not in a relationship (longest relationship I really had was for 6 months)
  • Associate at one of the largest Private Equity firms in the world

  • Have saved up almost $300k in 3 years
  • No real debt or student loans
  • Credit Score nearing close to 800
  • I live in my own apartment on Madison Ave
  • Looking into buying my own apartment on 63rd and Madison
  • Gained membership in one of NYC's most exclusive clubs (Union Club)

  • I still have a healthy relationship with my family and friends from my childhood

I came from practically nothing growing up in Queens, New York from two hard-working parents who immigrated to America with only $500 to their name.

I'm proud to say that I love my life and where I am.

@Hank Scorpio   Curious behind your rationale in joining the Union Club? I have a few friends my age who are members of social clubs (University, Metropolitan) and they did it for access to the network and also sports (tennis, squash). My former boss offered to write me a recommendation for the Knick but I never saw the value proposition at this point in my life where I'm either at work on weekdays or out with friends on weekends; thus I would not realize the full benefit of being a member. Interested in hearing your view, thanks.

I was considering joining Metropolitan and a lot of my coworkers are members of University

I joined mostly for the network as well. I'm also an avid backgammon player, and I enjoy the tournaments the Union Club holds quarterly.

The Knick is a pretty solid club (formerly the Union), but IDK how strong their network is. Nonetheless, you should consider joining a social club purely for the network purposes alone.

I was approached not too long ago by a good friend of mine and he asked me if I was interested in joining his Masonic lodge. I'm still mulling over the options.
