Yeah, I've done pretty much every "hard" drug there is, from hallucinogens to meth to crack. It's not the business. They are all different highs, for example crack is an upper, which makes you hyper, whereas heroin is a downer. I would say that heroin is like the best orgasm ever.

Thanks, man. That's a personal choice, but some people can just handle drugs better than others. I get hooked on stuff quick. Some people don't.

Thanks for the prayer! I started using because I was already hooked on painkillers, and heroin is a lot cheaper. Honestly, I did it because I was really depressed and it helped my depression... for the time being. It made it so much worse though.

LOVE Trainspotting. It is also a very accurate depiction of heroin abuse. Requiem for a Dream is also very accurate (except your pupils get pinned and not dilated, but that's nit-picking.

I have know a lot of heroin addicts an when they are kickin it, its said to see how sick they get. And then as soon as they slam they are someone diffrent. At the same time i have lost ppl to OD's and prison systems.

Started using opiates at like 22 (I'm 25 now). Heroin is an opiate, I think you mean what made me switch from opiate pills like Oxycontin to heroin. The answer to that question is simply financial. It is the same high, but heroin is much cheaper. That's why I would say 95% of heroin users started using it. Oxycontin pills were about $40 for an 80mg pill, I could get about half a gram of dope for that price. Much better money-wise, but it's heroin.

Methadone is a ball and chain. It's useful for some as maintainance, but it should only be used for people who have tried rehab and counseling and such. It's just trading one addiction for another. The best maintainance therapy IMO is Suboxone. It doesn't get you high like methadone, and blocks opiate receptors so that if you use them, nothing happens.

I have tried to kick many times, and I stay clean for a little, but always go back. It's easy to kick, but really tough to stay clean.

I can see where you're coming from about methadone, I work in that industry albeit on the administrative side of things so I only see some things on a surface level rather than the full rehabilitation process

Is Suboxone + couseling/therapy something you tried in the past to get off heroin?

They don't chose that over their kids. The stigma is crazy, I'm losing my biological father to alcohol, like I'm sure old dudes going to need a liver soon, and so many days I wish he was more like my uncle whom I lost to heroin...well HIV that was caused by dirty needle when he was younger (he never had kids btw), or my aunts who use heroin on the reg. IF he was more like my Uncle...he would have been there when I was growing up...even if only for a little while.

we have a terrible stigma about drug use and drug users, then pop every pill that FDA says is cool, drink every beer we can. I get what you're saying, especially speaking from your own personal expierence, but stuff like heroin and meth take a serious toll on your body and have a much higher rate of getting addicted than something like weed, cocaine, or alcohol.

I think as a country we need to re-evaluate the dangers of ALL drugs (legal and illegal) and have a serious discussion about the dangers and addiction rates of each, because there are a LOT of false misconceptions.

I do agree about people popping every pill the FDA approves, I've never understood that logic and avoid medication as much as possible, especially perscription medication. I HATE people who go on tirades about weed smokers and have a drug cabniet of perscriptions with a street value thats higher than the car parked in their garage.

They do though. Why would anyone who has kids try/do heroin in the first place? Is that logical? No matter how bad things can get in life, why would you possibly resort to that? It's putting a drug before your seed, theres not much more to it.

Yeah, I tried all that. I can get clean, but it's super hard for me to stay clean. I have moved a couple times, but I always gravitate to the people like me.

I don't get this. He's a junkie and went way overboard but it doesn't mean ANY and ALL drugs are bad. Sure, no drug use would prevent this heroin foolishness but you could use that argument about A LOT of things.

Look, I have a problem finding out that somebody who knew they were addicted to a drug was encouraging and condoning the use of drugs to people on NT, many of whom are kids. So I don't care what drug he was referring to, somebody is his shoes should in NO way be encouraging ANYBODY to do ANY drugs PERIOD.

I'm 25. Weed is not a gateway drug. TONS AND TONS of people smoke weed and do nothing else. It depends on the person. I did other stuff before I smoked weed.

Thanks for your kind words. I am not happy, but I never was. Even before the dope. I'm just kinda living one day at a time. I work a 9-5 in an office and hustle as well. It is really exhausting mentally and physically.

Get this **** straight, mother ******. I don't encourage **** . I am the one in EVERY THREAD telling people how to be SAFE while using MDMA. I give REAL INFORMATION, and not FDA scare tactic type stuff. I do this because I am more informed about a lot of drugs than almost anyone on this board. What I say is that going to a rave while rolling is definitely more enjoyable to me than sober. And I do that WHEN I AM ASKED, I don't just go "TAKE ECSTASY DO IT DO IT."

It's becoming common with younger folks because of how over-prescribed opiate painkillers are. People like me start using painkillers and then start messing with boy because they can't afford the pills any more.
