That suit is dope.

"sneakerhead culture" though :smh:

As for a "wardrobe that will stand the test of time", plenty of Nikes+Jordans seem to be doing a good job of that as well.

It's funny to me that people think you have to do one thing or the other, as opposed to doing both.

Oh, I don't care. But, I cared to let you know that I don't. Deal with it.

naw man, you definitely can't do both. I wore Chi 10's to my junior prom and I regret it bad as hell.

if it weren't for the chick in the pictures they would look horrible as hell. :smh:

Can't lie, his fits were clean. The suit is definitely my speed. Can't get down with the short shorts though

Jordan's crumble and you have to purchase the new retro's which we all know and can't deny that they are of subpar quality. Even AM1's have fallen victimg to poor shape :smh:

Plus, streetwear is fast fashion, it's constantly changing/evolving. Also, there comes a time where the age of a person doesn't quite fit with streetwear or sneakers.

Your doing street fashion/sneaker culture wrong if you don't think it can be kept. Its all about putting the right pieces with the right shoe. Disappoints me to see sneaker collectors pretty much abandon sneakers because they feel they have to grow up......only to go ahead and drop 400 on some dress shoes. Classic sneakers will always be worn. Now if you out there trying to rock some weatherman foamposites with a button up..... you might have some issues. But a pair of bred iv and a oxford and good jeans will always look nice and simple.

I dont think he meant merging the fashion styles together

Just being able to pull off both at the appropriate times and still appreciate both for what they are

Doing it wrong?

Sneakers just don't "fit" anymore, you're talking to a person that has about 150 pairs still.

Monday through Thursday, it's business attire. I get home, hit the gym in my Nike Frees. Friday it's casual, I do rock sneakers on occasion, nothing "loud" though and nothing really bulky so you're talking Jordan's I-V and the XI's. AM1's rarely. Weekends, rock sneakers during the day, but if I go out, my attire calls for dress shoes, boots or low profile sneakers.

So it's a lot of shoes not getting any burn. Frankly, if it was easy to buy sneakers, I would still be buying them at a 2 pair pace (one to rock, one to stock), however, it's a major hassle to get shoes nowadays. Can I pay the premium price to get these early or with no hassle, without a doubt. However, I know damn well I'm not paying for premium quality. Not forking over extra dough for nostalgia, not worth it.

I was never a graphic tee guy, even when I was heavy into sneakers.

Dam bruh, people cant just show love and keep it moving. Got to be salty and extra.

Wrong. You can be older and still rock sneakers. You should change how you dress them up though.

You doing it wrong. Even some of the DB ppl still rock sneakers with their "grown up" fits.

Streetwear and sneakers are nowhere near the same. I'm not sure why you're talking about them like they are. I never really did "street wear" so that's not my thing. I agree that it's fast fashion.

That's why I'm talking about timelessness.

There is no age where sneakers don't fit. That's ridiculous. It's not what you wear, it's how you wear it.

Dunks/AF1's are other examples of timeless sneakers. Rod Lavers, Stan Smiths, Shelltops.

I don't even care that much about the poor shape of AM1 or 90's. If I like the sneaker, I'll buy it. And I'll wear it.

Don't care about the quality on Js either. It is what it is. If I like it, I'll buy it. I love wearing my Cement IV retros.

All of these people who think that not wearing sneakers is some right of passage into adulthood and some heightened level of maturity......might have a little more growing up to do.

This thread brought the  s.

What does he do that requires him to dress like that? For real, what's his occupation?

nvm. I used my hooked on phonix cassette and got to the bottom of it. Eyes could read.

I like his purses

Jk dope fit with the shorts. It's a nice "grown up" outfit for a hot day. I too want to make the transition from Jordans but ehhhh. Ill wait till I get out of college too

Naw man...you can do both. He didn't mean LITERALLY at the same time. He meant why can't you rock J's and T's and jeans...AND have a more upscale, grown part of your wardrobe too. He was countering what was said in the article, about how the Pinoy dude and the authors of the article have MOVED AWAY from Jordan's and streetwear, and now wear the "dressing better" type clothing exclusively. I'm with you illPhillip. You can do both. Makes for a more well rounded wardrobe anyway. Can't wear that dressing better type crap when you're just out casually with friends at a bar or movies or whatever. Straight lookin like a poindexter. But yeah...you def effed up wearing J's with formal attire zapato...I'll never get that fashion statement. Looks juvenile.

I can rock with this response...I do them both, certain sneakers just don't fit with me (foams) for example...hence why I sold them all except my royals, some jays ARE timeless...some sneakers with low profile can very well be incorporated into a more formal look or better yet a more mature look, ditching urban brands and graphic tees...I don't understand why some feel the more dress shoes and suits you have the better dressed you are, I tend to think, knowing how to balance both is what sets you somewhat apart....with that said, I still rock my IIIs, my VIIs, my Yeezys, would love to get my hands on some AJI's...fly knits have become my everyday kicks....when the time calls, I'll throw on my suit and some shoes and kill it to the best of my ability....but the very next day I'm back in jeans and a tee...idk, just my 2 cents.

With that said props to Adrian, the feature was dope and so were the fits, that suit is amazingly beautiful. Pulled it off nice.

It's a shame the DB thread gets thrown so much shade...it's actually a thread with a positive vibe....but it appears it has very little room in this online community...
