OFFICIAL Atlanta Falcons 2016 Season Thread - NFC SOUTH & CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS #RISEUP

Really Atlanta :smh:

The NFL has been investigating the Atlanta Falcons' use of artificial crowd noise in the Georgia Dome over the past two seasons, sources told ESPN

The offense is expected to result in discipline, with the Falcons being fined and quite possibly losing a draft choice, according to sources.

"We were informed during the season that the league office is looking into crowd noise during our games," a Falcons team spokesman said. "We have cooperated fully with them, and we're awaiting the outcome."

Atlanta has been accused of piping in the noise while the opposing team was huddling, trying to call its play. Some around the league have argued that silent counts have rendered crowd noise more irrelevant, and it's difficult to discern how much of an advantage it gave the Falcons.

The Falcons went 3-5 at the Georgia Dome this season and were blown out there by the Panthers, 34-3, in Week 17 with the NFC South Division title on the line.

How are yall feeling about the draft picks so far?

First Round
OLB - Vic Beasley (Clemson)

Second Round
CB - Jalen Collins (LSU)

Third Round
RB - Tevin Coleman (Indiana)

If we were gonna take a RB then why not just take a good one earlier (Gurley, Gordon, Abdullah)?

I'm satisfied so far. I would've take a trade back to get Dupree and more draft picks but that's just me. I like the Coleman pick too. Abdullah fumbles a lot and Gurley wasn't as bad of a need as a pass rusher, so I can understand that. I like the Justin Hardy pick too.

Most sites and draft analysts giving us high marks for the draft, so I'm pretty pleased with the direction of the new regime.

I have to say this is one of the best drafts we've had in YEARS  I'm satisfied with who they went with, you can tell some of the picks were influenced by Quinn. I hope Coleman and Hardy work out in our favor.

Hearing that Hageman is in shape and headed towards being the monster we all thought he would be when we drafted him last year.. He seems extra motivated..

Other things I've read, seen on twitter and message boards:

Vic Beasley's first step is crazy good
Trufant is locking up everyone, even Julio
Alford is playing well.
Devonta is definitely out there giving it 100 every play, he feels Coleman at his Heels.

Looking forward to this season.. Even if Quinn can have our defense middle of the road, we can be in a position to win the division and make the playoffs..

Definitely we're making the playoffs. We're clearly the best team in the division this year. We were last year too but week 12 and 17 happened :rolleyes

The turning point last year was:

The london game against the lions

the game against the browns when they let the damn clock wind down and then gave them the freaking ball with enough time left

And the carolina let down

That stadium looks unreal. Easily one of the most beautiful modern stadiums in the country.

So how nervous is every one tomorrow? I feel like the time is gonna be better this year but i'm always hesitant

It'll be close but we'll beat the Eagles tomorrow. This is easily a 10/11 win season barring injury. We're the clear cut favorites out the NFC south. You see Jameis stinking up the joint out there?

Not nervous at all. They just need to go out there and bring the intensity 110%. If Mike Smith were still the head coach I'd be nervous lol

thats true
